Tonight Matthew I fitted the Fibrelyte shock towers and GPM universals to my Wild Dagger. Had to drill out the mounting points for the shock towers to 3mm and used some button hex screws and 3mm lock nuts - it's rock solid. Had a quick look at the TMAXX shocks, bit of tweaking needed but should fit ok. Might turn the lower arms round to lengthen the bottom shock mounting and bring it more in line with the top, we'll see. Should probably give it a quick wipe down as well.

Had another result today. The eBay seller that I got the faulty Mtroniks ESC from called back and confirmed they'd received it and agreed it's was clearly a faulty item. They have put a new one in the post today!

Good result. That was eBay seller Hobby Power, also known as Howes Models based in Kidlington. Had a good chat with them and they sounded very reasonable.

Today seen in Nuremberg, a vintage Tamiya Promotion Truck. I found this Tamiya Europe "Racing Show" Mercedes in a old german Tamiya Magazine from 1997 ! (Tamiya journal 8/1997)

This van is great inspiration for a custom Lunch Box shell...

Wow awesome, that was a badword of a spot!!! what is the buggy in the foreground by the way?

Looks like a Fighter Buggy RX with Dyna Blaster/TR-15T wheels and tires. And it looks slick!

As for the Lunch Box shell idea: maybe some San-S models behind the transparent panels on such a project?

Having a coffee and a warm up at the cafe we draw bit of interest from the families with young children so I couldn't resist putting on a bit of a show :)

It'd be a good place to have an informal TC meet if anyone is up for that, generate a bit of interest and maybe even encourage some new members :)

You know you've had a good run when you need to let the mud dry before the clean up!

One things for sure, I'm not selling Willy any time soon :D

Sounds like a lot of fun!

Makes me think of an event concept that I would love to put into practice one day. Get a bunch of Tamiya enthusiasts together and drive a circular route across some interesting terrain, basically taking our RCs for a walk. Perhaps throw in some Top Gear-style challenges along the way to make things interesting.

If the concept works, maybe even do a longer one as a sponsored charity thing sometime.

ordered Avante 2011 screw set from RC schrauben screws, bought a old Novak Reactor ESC and some M3 nuts (black) and low M3 nuts black, all for the Avante BS build.

Rebuilt my TB03 today...

- New tub, gear cases, damper stay, front bumper, and body posts

- Shimmed all the suspension arms and IFS rockers to minimize slop

- Fully ball raced the IFS arms and stock steering, including the steering bridge

- Replaced all the stock ball cups with low-friction ball cups, and replaced the servo rod with a turnbuckle

- Replaced the stock CVA dampers with TRF415 dampers
