Measure the diameter of the holes and punch some plugs out of scrap lexan. Fill the hole with the plug and tape it from the outside with masking tape before spraying. After the paint dries, secure the plug from the inside using duct tape.

It shouldn't be too noticeable.

Love the silver plastic. I bet it sands beautifully.

Dorvack.

you do love sanding your plastic...lol. I get the eccentricity of finish that you have, as I was a precision machinist for a lot of years. Now it's run an fun for me..

Thought about what project to start next, one of the mani NIB's I have to build, or a vintage resto? A vintage Frog that belongs to a mate of mine made in onto the build table, so I guess that's next, he gave me a pre painted Re-Re body for it, and a new set of wheels and tyres, it's not gonna be a runner as far as I know, so will keep the MSC in there I think.

Today was a terrible day...I received an e-mail, early in the morning, from Modellbau Seidel. They had the 911 GT2 in stock, afordable, ready...Now it's on its way home.

I hate Paypal, it does make it so easy...

Started getting the Clod up to a decent standard for running...

Started with this..

My twin motor 'Y' cable arrived form Modelsport so ended up like this...

Next job is to get my new bearing set in it..I still do not know to this day why the badword I didn't build it with bearings back in the 90's when I got it, can only assume they where expensive or not easily available :(

And what was the problem with the original MSC? My Clod Buster runs stock alright.

Nothing wrong as such but it's super old tech and for regular running I like to use a slightly less old Esc :P

Picked up the Y lead for under a tenner anyway so pretty cheap to covert!

Yay, sold and posted my last spare MHz handset, a small but important milestone in the clearing of spares and redundant radio gear.

That's at least 6 handsets and 15 receivers no longer gathering dust, v.happy chappy.

My Blazing Blazer was collected tonight on my behalf, so I will get my hands on it tomorrow, excited and nervous.

Found some bits for a T.C buddy which I hope to post out tomorrow.

Got 2 responses for a MIA screw for our Blackfoot basher, thank you chaps.

Finally built the Tamiya Big Bore Aeration Dampers for my DB01R, oh my they are super smooth and look fantastic on the buggy. Will take it for a few test runs tomorrow afternoon :)

All mine still run the stock MSC too, they run perfectly fine as long as they are regularly maintained and since my trucks are all stock apart from bearings I don't see the need for ESCs (plus I like vintage electronics).

I completely understand however if someone wants to regularly run a vehicle and have the security and performance of an esc though :)

Gave my DB01R a really hard fast test today with the new dampers, and it soaked upthe abuse without an issue at all. No more bottoming out on big jumps now :)

Thanks

Took my DT02 Rough Rider to Hastings beach and had some fun scaring the seagulls [emoji6]

The Blitzer front tyres I cut grooves into worked well on the sand, shingle and even the pebbles although some thick oil in the diff would help I think [emoji57]

Agreed on that one!

I was a little less patient taking my latest work out for a stomp:

It is loads of fun - if I can ever get over the need to preserve the bodywork!

Completed my Mountaineer chassis, kept it original with the mechanical speed controller. Did fit re release front and rear bumpers, and white steering block as the originals had yellowed and been damaged in storage.

Have the body painted too but need to let the paint cure in order for me to sand out some imperfections. Hopefully within two weeks I'll have a second new built Mountaineer to add to the collection :).

Just missing the following: Rubber switch boot and original resistor metal "cage" for the msc. If you have 'em, send 'em !

So, what have you done today ?

Been working on my MF-01X review. The car is a peach! I've even stuck a funnel on the shell, that's a first for me.. although I think it might not be the last time now :)

Me and my two sons were at the track for six hours.

Their DB01RR cars are much easier to drive than my Durango DEX410.

With their improving driving abilities I will be the slowest of us in a month or two..
