Pretty happy with my neo fighter build so far. Fitted the electronics, painted/trimmed/decaled/mounted the wing, and fired it up inside the house and made the cats very upset. Results are promising.

No idea what to do with the body paint-wise. Open to suggestions.

10 months of subscription.. feels longer that it is...

Kyosho 1/7 Redbull...

For anyone whose building it there are a few issues. Front ground clearance needs more height - just replace the front damper's ball end to a longer one...

Also clicking sound when you roll the chassis, it's because of the angel of the centre transmission, lift it up like so in the photo :-)

centre drive - lift up to 3~4mm depending your chassis.

Are those 60Ds?

Camera? if you mean the wheels enzo rims +4 offset and cayenne tires. BF goodrichs are to big imo.

Well, since the wheels are gunmetal and the wing is silver, how about doing a fade from gunmetal at the front to silver at the rear? Should tie everything together nicely.

That's a great idea! Definitely better than the black on bottom gunmetal on top two tone idea I was thinking about. Thanks XV.

Today and most of the week I've been casting 1/10 backpacks for myself and a couple of people [emoji57]

Just using this reusable moulding compound to make a simple one piece push mould and filling it with Milliput. The secret ingredient is to dust the mould with talc before pushing the milliput in... helps it de-mould [emoji6]

Just home from work and spent a wee bit more time getting the body stance right on my FF03 from fellow TC member Butler, along with my Laguna BTCC body. I think I have got it just right for display with the option of adding more pre load spring spacers for an extra 4mm of front splitter clearance if I decide to lightly run it. Still really need to get a cockpit set for it too, as I think that would really set it off lovely.

Overall with the FF03 I am very surprised at how high quality it feels. It def feels more TA05/TA06 like. I also had to make the wheelbase longer by an extra 5mm to accommodate the Laguna body properly. And I also have a FF03 Stabilizer set in the post on its way to me atm. Might look at getting the blue alloy motor mount and also some blue alloy front lower suspension arm mounts too.

Many thanks

James

So after getting this 3480a732d5bf2743d5bb8f0b63a6fe98.jpg

Looking how I want I decided I should have it running smooth also...and after a long week of screaming at other people's children what better way to relax than to tear apart something I've just put together...and install some bits and bobs at the same time, couple of these 7544a919e2cfe55c5d4c4692166b4c47.jpgand I also had these b8a958a7ef82c5123c4ede4dae67e21f.jpgand a few of these. 38a22a8a02910ddc72d2525c93ced8a0.jpgthen I found one of these....3a0f2531540144c801c41756eccf7cb0.jpgand a rather tatty one of these 55870834f8e231cb750513a9b54be8de.jpg So I ordered a fresh chassis tree, and while I was there a brand new speed tuned gear set up and something else....well I can't remember what that was now but it will be here in a few days...so stripped car goes here

f90c3f082fcfad931386746915355f3f.jpgaf268cf7ab297f2f1ae3097f418c0711.jpg, I will scrub and clean the greasy bits and there it shall sit for the week. Guess I have no choice but to play with the runners all weekend rather than build although I wasn't really chuffed with the alloy hubs on the Porsche so I may put the stock ones back in. Hmmmmm.

Started seeing how i can reconfigure my old Maverick Scout crawler bits with the GMade R1 chassis.

That's the Scout tyranny, modified skid plate and shocks with Dynamite high clearance lower links. I'm quite liking it so far, quite a bit wider than the Scout body but already better looking.

Today we went to the Bassingham Village Fête where we were amused to see one of the entries in the "vehicles" section of the photo competition:

Broke the rear driveshaft on my Trailfinder 2, while doing nothing more strenuous than driving over a rock. Then, I drove it around in the dust for a bit with only the front wheels, and within 30 seconds, the front driveshaft let go. I had heard they were a weak point, but I didn't expect them to last only 4 or 5 runs. Apparently they really are made of black licorice Twizzlers. Not pleased at all. Shouldn't have to spend $400 on a kit and then another $50-80 for driveshafts just to make it reliable.

So then I beat the stuffing out of the Kumamonster for an entire battery pack, and it just bounced happily along...

Masked inside and out and painted the red on the King Cab
Grey primed and painted silver mirror glass for the 306, Exiv, GT2 and Skyline R34, while forgetting to do the Impreza, doh!
Grey primed and painted black the mirrors and spoiler for the R34, and some Speedline wheels for the Exiv
Cut out, washed and white primed cockpits for the Delta and M3, and painted the white parts
Grey primed the spoiler for the Golf 24.
Grey primed the body, sunroof and all accessory parts for the Blitzer Beetle
White primed the Blitzer nose, driver and tail lights
Detailed the wheels for the 306

If you were counting yes, that's 10 projects. Although there's more on the go that I've not done anything on today

Haven't really had good luck with RC4WD stuff myself. Manufacturing issues and they tend to send out used parts as replacements.

That's really bad sending out 2nd hand stuff as a replacement. I think I'll steer clear of these if that's the sort of service you get. Not cheap either!
