So today I was a little naughty, I had vowed I was not buying anything for a month or two, but tonight I ordered a fresh chassis tree for my frog project, a rear end for my spare hornet chassis, and a yokomo muffler set for my beautiful Porsche.... What can I say I hate seeing things undone... Oops

Took my FF03 to WLRC track nearby and tested an iphone app called LapTracker. It uses the camera as a motion detector, so you can count and time your laps and then email you a csv of the output, worked really good.

My stock FF03 laps in 22secs. The mod class 4wd does it in 15. :o

I need sticky tyres, more horse power and probably some talent. :(

Decals my man! I used a set that was made for the game "Flames of War" and had a ton left over in various sizes. What you see is two different sizes of stars laid out in a symmetrical pattern and gloss coated.

Will take a photo for you tomorrow of the decals set.

Thanks. I'll check them on eBay later. Are they waterslides or decals just like the ones made by Tamiya or Parma?

While not going to plan, its done at least! Note the silver through the smoke windows... DOH!

Wow, you got a great finish for that car!

Nothing than order some paddle track tires and a Futaba servo for the Hopper which will allow it to move under its own power.

Sold off my OS Max .60 engine to help finance the final bits of the restoration.

Pushrods are missing and a few parts need to be done properly, but a good start

The Neo Fighter, Hotshot suspension, and various shells look great! I love this thread :D

I visited a hobby shop with my uncle - I had not seen him for several months. And look what I found!

... There!

It was there with two spare BMW GTP shells (the car I own), a Ford Mustang Probe GTP shell, a Ferrari Testarossa unit, and the Porsche 961 body. That shop deserves a second visit; the static Porsche 961 and 962 kits were also sitting pretty on the shelves... It also deserves more of my paycheques!

Then we went to the local park, where we hung out while I drove my Wheelie Rally on pavement:

My uncle was a skilled model builder in his youth; he loved to customize his kits by chopping, channelling, narrowing, etc.. His approval of my Wheelie Rally was truly cherished ^_^

I was surprised by how stable the WR-02 was on pavement, even on uneven pavement. Those tires really do soak up shocks and keep a firm stance, even if going up hills put the car on its roof!

My GH is fully alive now :)

Installed a Futaba S3004 steering servo, got the rear end of the under body painted black and tidied up the wiring and new antenna tube. Rear tires will be here on Monday. Still torn whether to go vintage decals or rere with repro. The vintage decals I was able to save are tired and worn.

She'll get a vintage transmitter too to go along with it :)

Built myself a 4x4 Brat today. I rebuilt my TL-01B with a few hop ups and popped a polycarbonate Brat shell on top. I wanted a hot rod style rake so it had to be lower at the front. Ooomph is from a sport tuned motor and a Hobbywing Quicrun esc. I think it needs some bright green wheels to finish it off, that's a job for tomorrow methinks!
