I sold my GF01 last night to a great T.C member last night.

Shame to see it go not having had a chance to really enjoy it, but 22 cars is to many for me and we have 5 other wheelie machines and numerous other pick up style Tamiyas in stock ; )

Sold my TB02 tonight to another great T.C member.

Shame to see another nice one go especially with the decent standard spec it came with, but I'm going to run the pants off my TT01E and then I'm going to just keep the TT02 as my long term road car....that's today's plan anyway!

Painted some Shapeways rims for my Wild willy shelfer.... d16295edf824c0bc55946421cf4a65f5.jpg

How is that? (Painting them) I've got a bodyshell coming that was too big to fit in their rock tumbler and I'm worried about the finish.

They are a rough finish... the advice I've heard is sand them to get a nice surface to paint. I've chosen to be an idiot and I'm laying down lots of coats, they will be a little rough but I'll put them on my runner. The color matches.

Plenty to roll on there!

Today, I did a long-awaited swap of my beloved GT-One's FRP chassis with a carbon F103LM unit. An overhaul was also in order:

I also switched out the well-worn rubber slicks to foam tires, replaced the water-damaged electronics (except for the motor), and refilled the damper. I just need a speed control to get it going - even the ball differential was fresh from my last rebuild.

The whole thing looks rather tired, but with a new shell in store I look forward to driving at the limit again!

As mentioned in my F103GT thread, I paused that build to work on painting while the weather is still good. For the past few days that's been the focus. There are still another 2-3 shells to paint, but they can wait until next weekend. I can apply decals when the weather gets colder. I'm really happy I could empty several half-full cans of paint and thin out my stash.

From left to right, top to bottom --

- HPI Pagani Zonda, Pactra Pearl White + Pactra Daytona Yellow + PS41 Bright Silver + PS5 Black + PS31 Smoke

Got an old beaten Hummer body from AdLav (thanks mate) to try out an idea I've had brewing for a while. Didn't really like it on the TA01 chassis I restored years ago but since I put the TL01 arms on my spare WT01 I've wanted to see how it would look...

Not bad as it turns out 😉 I might try out swapping the uprights for M05RA ones to get a bit more clearance and lower the body down the mounts. I prefer the look of this chassis under the body though, should have better ground clearance too.

I've a few YFR2 and special....

Just using it to do a custom build... with similar design... I don't think i can put myself to modify the vintage yokomo.. .lol!

:D

Thanks for the heads up, i will look at the ABC's Grande Gambado... looks low... but the trick is the middle part of this body... low!

I hope you're not planning to modify the chassis... There aren't many of those monsters left.

You could try putting the shell on the new ABC Grande Gambado... That looks like a lovely FWD racer.

Dorvack.

Did they change anything? I've got a Euro Civic NIB and the chassis looks the same as the Grande.

Installed rc4wd 80turn motor in my youngest sons mad bull runs faster than a good jog so he should be happy if not I'll stick it on training mode on the esc.

Also ordered a grill for my Willys m38 from shape ways, figure I'll restore it a little better this time as the thought was to sell it before now I think I may run it.
