Had a play indoors with the madcap, ditched the blue shocks and fitted some spare cva's I had. Sits nice and low now.

Some more progress, about 70% done. Needs interior, cut and polish, details finished, decals made, container built, dualies on trailer, sound unit, waiting on parts, weathering etc etc...

(actually yesterday), I got together some kitty litter, a cheap coffee grinder, some longer milling bits and some filtered river sand. Now I can get on with my Volvo build :) No, I am not insane, photos to explain how these all go together hopefully next weekend.

Blocked with my XV-01 build, so I gave in to temptation and gave my Blitzer Beetle a run with it's unfinished shell. I had high hopes for this buggy after seeing some other videos, and I wasn't disappointed. Lots of fun, lots of stability and the occasional wheelie. Time to peruse some hop up lists (and see if many scorcher addons will fit :D)

And replaced them with with new period correct parts that I got from Tamiyabigstuff

I will be tackling the rear suspension next then onto the body and wheels.

no quite, I am going to make some greensand, which is a metal casting sand. Its firm, but no sticky and I can use that to make temporary moulds of the car body, which I should be able to reshape a little and then make my plaster casts for vac forming.

Both looking really good, can you tell me how many cans you used on the monster beetle? I have one to build at Christmas and would like to get the body done before.

Thanks

Thanks! I used two cans of red and two cans of clear since I had to sand and respray certain spots. You can probably get away with only one can for each coat if you are really good at painting including prep :)
