A couple more quick snaps this morning .

Its seriously fast with a 4000kv on stock gearing.

Im still glad I put the bike on despite it being small .. Adds to the fun factor . Needed strapping down to stop it wobbling.

The performance on road mud and grass is awesome but on the sand and pebbles it got stuck a lot

Made some good progress today, nearly ready for a test run.

Ran into a slight problem when I fitted some test wheels. Hoping that the wheels I have on order with +10 offset get round this!

I got all my bugs together for the first time. I've only had the monster beetle for a couple of days so I've had no time to work on it yet. It's a 2015 re re but the original owner didn't paint the body before applying the decals, that's not something I can live with so new decals and some paint are on the to do list!

Just spray it with some clear coat. It'll look fine and then you have a runner body. Get a new shell to paint for your stickers.

That would explain why it doesn't fit then! I assume they come with the brat kit?

Okay so this is how the posts work for each model, When using a brat chassis you can use either the lexan body with the long rear posts or the hard body with the short rear posts. When using a Mudblaster (Blackfoot / Monster Beetle) Chassis, you can only use the Hard body unless you custom make rear posts that are higher.

This weekend I went up to the cabin to get some more done on the track.

These were my main helpers. The little chap is fitted with grass tyres and was used solely to compress the dirt.

I built two jumps and a tripple up and down thingy and then my impatience got the best of me so I spent the rest of the day driving. Will probably add some more features to it, but I think I'll keep it like this for a little while to get a feel of where what should be put in order to keep the rythm of the track. And also to learn to be consistent at jumping instead of making a correction on the jump and land two metres to the left or right of the jump and get stuck in the long grass.

Picked up some TT01 parts at TamTam and a couple spare shells at the clecle used store underneath, TamTam is pretty much the best store for RC that I've found in Japan so far, though it is a little on the pricy side at times

I surfed the internet... again... looking at online shops and trying to decide what parts to get and learning more about this hobby while I wait to build my Neo Scorcher and give my son his Racing Fighter birthday present in 4 months.

My sons turning 5 in a few weeks and he's been getting more into the RC cars since I made his cousin a TL01 rally car. My sons is a monster truck fan but doesn't really have the control he'd need for the faster rally stuff we drive, so I've put together a monster truck for his birthday.

Its the WT01 chassis I was building a Monster Beetle on but I've regigged the body mounts, fitted a 55T motor to tame the speed and improve the battery life, fitted a set of Maverick Scout wheels & tyres and finished it off with a cheapie readymade bodyshell from BlackSmiths Products.

Hes loves the TV show Blaze and the Monster Machines so I'm hoping this'll be a hit😉 It'll also stop him borrowing my cars and scraping them up 😬

Took my newly built brushless brat out for its fourth run and it broke down .

on inspection the pinion was not out far enough to mesh with the spur gear properly

only about 1/2 mm was touching ..

Thing is I followed the manual and it seams wrong .

I have moved it not the correct place now and seams fine

So my local race club has started a stock Truck class for the TT01E MAN racing truck, and somebody happened to mention that the LHS has a couple of MAN racing trucks in.  So I popped in and bagged one for a discount, and happened to find a Tractor Truck Light Set hiding away on the back shelf too, which is convenient as I'm about to put the cab on my TGX 6x4 tonight and I'll be building a Hercules Hobby container trailer tomorrow.  That's yet more expense to justify later :P

I managed to talk myself out of buying the MFC-03 unit that he had in stock as well, my TGX came with an MFC-01 but part of me feels a bit dirty using the American soundtrack on a Euro truck.  But buying an MFC-03 right now will only mean I'll end up justifying a Globeliner to put it in...  and I was pretty much thinking I'd bought all the RCs I'll ever want :o

Nice purchase. Wish I had a class for these here. Would love to see a bunch running on track at once. Great impulse control regarding the MFC-03. I would not have been able to resist. Go see Dave's "Why must I have another one?" thread lol.

Have you been to Super Rajikon? I found it to be my favourite store in Japan, my WW2 came from TamTam, as did my 1/32 Kyosho Optima mini z, great place for RC without doubt

Fantastic. I think a working brake light would be pretty neat, sort of formula 1 stylee at the back. Not sure how possible that would be.

I noticed your're running really low there. Is that shocks set to widest point on the arms and narrowest on the towers? How'd you find it handles? Are they stock towers? I had some alloy yeah racing towers but the front one was definately style over function so im trying the tamiya FRP ones. Hopefully here soon.

That's a really cool idea!, I will look into doing that next! should be doable.

I don't run it that low, or haven't yet, just the widest point on the arms, might try it on road though although you have to account for some squat in the rear under acceleration. I just have it that low so when its sitting on the shelf it looks super low and mean lol!
