Painted my Mud Blaster 2 shell in the style of the Original Mud Blaster... well, in silver not red, but the decals are the original style.... well they are repro decals... ok, so this is nothing like an original Mud Blaster ;p

LOOKS Great to me, but then I am biased, I made a CHROME MB, so there you have it.

Looks fantastic Jason. I have a clear shell waiting to be done, I was thinking a goldy yellowy/orangey kind of colour with old school decals. They look great. Great job on the paintwork/masking.

Successfully refinished my beat up old lunchbox body that I had been needing to restore for some time now. AND successfully used easy off oven cleaner to remove the paint off my vintage monster beetle WIN!!! Now to find a replacement world engines rock buster body :(

I put about 8 pairs of tires into the de-glueifier contraption.  Bashed our loaner Arrma Fury SCT at the skate park while my son tried to learn how to skate board.  I think I may have convinced my wife to allow me to order a TRF211XM from RC Mart.  If I can close the deal on that, I'm considering putting my TRF201 #42167 up for sale.  Do you guys think $120 +S&H for a built chassis with new body, wing and a set of wheels is a fair price?  If I can "pre-sell" the 201 I think the 211 purchase is as good as approved.

I would take it but feel the shipping would be more than the car :-(

That looks superb Truck, congrats! It kind of looks like the Millenium Jade that Nissan used on their roll out V-Spec II Nur editions. Nice wheel choice too. Beautiful.

Thanks! It's green from some angles, purple from others, depending how the light hits it:

It's PS-46 Iridescent Purple/Green. It goes on quite transparent so you back it with black (it actually states to do this on the can).

Back in Black,.... QUE UP THE AC/DC. Couldn't resist.

An you really do have to back it with black.  I messed up when I tried to use it and backed it with silver.  I just ended up with a slightly purple-ish silver.

Well today I started stripping down the Celica GrB. There's a lot of old congealed grease around the dog bones and tub axles. Methylated spirit seams to take it off well with out damaging the plastic components. So far so good all looks to be in good nick but I did notice the inside walls o the original tyres are shot (old rubber). Does any one know where I could find some to fit? They don't have to be originals-wheel size 24mm wide x 46mm diameter. I have also noticed some plastic bearings which I intend to replace with ball bearings, should I go for rubber sealed or metal? Any advice is much appreciated as I'm not up to date on modern RC.

I always go for rubber sealed ball bearings where there might be any exposure to dirt, etc... such as axles, gearbox outputs & I use metal shielded bearings for gearbox internals.

Finally cleaned off my Monster beetle body of all it's paint and finished redoing my vintage lunch box body too..... might not mean much to many but if you see the original pic of how it looked (and how many repaints I had to do just to get it to this point ugh) i attached a before shots for comparison..IMG_0594_zpssub5felp.jpg

Thanks Tamiyabigstuff, that makes a lot of sense. I know these GrBs aren't very common but I intend to drive it and would like to have it running sweet without making any major mods.

I fitted 12mm hex adopters to my ORV Rat Rod over the weekend, and popped on a set of rims and knobbly tires from a DT02. I'd been curious if it'd cut the wheel spin I'd been getting on the grass section just up from my flat.

I took it out a little while ago for a test run,and low and behold, the fox who'd been running along with my TL01 showed up again.

Is it bad that it was fun playing with the car and the fox,and more importantly, does this mean I need to get a Fox?

I know you live around London, so I have to ask - was this an urban fox or a Tamiya Fox

a fox (the animal) that lives in the area... apparently one that isnt afraid to come out around people.
