Last days I spent on painting my current Bling Willy project (check my topic in Builds).

Further more reading up a lot and watching Youtube reviews about Lipos, Watts, Voltage, Amps, connectors, chargers and power supplys. It is a lot of info to take in if you're only used to Nimh and you have no clue. It is a hole new world. Way too many options out there.

But we are getting there. I know now which lipos, connectors and chargers I will order soon. Just need to find the right power supply now to match the chargers.

Got the LEDs installed in my Pumpkin restoration nose and tailgate. Hopefully the body from Time Tunnel will get here this week.

So happy with the new correct colors. Paint is Competition Orange (much brighter and flourescent) and Blue Pearl. You can see the pearl flake in the 2nd photo. High Gloss Testors laquer was shot over the paint and makes a tremendous difference!

Also en route is the Goodyear decals for the tires.

Edit: Forgot to mention that she'll be getting an aluminum "stubby" bumper and vintage MSC metal cover to fill the body hole. Which is cool cause I ordered a vintage Grasshopper metal bag which in turn gives me vintage rear springs for my Grasshopper resto :)

Nothing R/C related but I did replace the roof on my 16x8 garden shed...and now ache in places I didn't know I had !

You and me both, I was just puttering about in the garden with some mulch, not with an RC car.

Very cool project, I guess I didn't realize this is a CLONE vehicle and you had shown us photos of your original build??? I guess you are testing out your newer and better modeling skills then?

To tag on, I was trying to work a couple M03 builds into my schedule, but work called and now it is late and my aforementioned back keying up. UGH, it sorta sucks getting old.  Here is the leftover bits of trying to sort through and see what isn't with me to complete my Italian Job Minis

And here, well, this one just struck me as funny how it reminded me of The Cadillac Ranch out in West Texas along Route 66, but I only have 2, not 6 cars. :P

Just a clone body ;)

Yes, modeling supplies and stuff was pretty limited in Riyadh in 2004. Now I have all the tools and paint to really make her how I wanted it to look back then. Couldn't even get black paint then :(

Still trying to sort out what this binding drive train issue is on the front of my TA-07 PRO.  Here's a link to my build thread post with a video of the problem.  If anyone has a suggestion on what to check or if this is simply "normal" and I should dial back the steering servo travel to avoid the binding I'd sure appreciate it.

Cesco, what did you decide to go with in the end?

I had settled on some mid range lipos then got convinced to spend the extra on the good ones...hopefully iy pays off. Not a huge amount more per battery, but adds up when you buy a couple!

Effigy, no idea on the issue but really enjoyed that build thread. I will have to add a TA07 at some point, not sure how just yet...

@Jonathan Gillham , see my findings here. I haven't ordered yet.

My wife got me a WLtoys A959 1/18 buggy for my Bday! Can't wait! It's been so long since I sold my old Mini-T

Had no idea these little buggies were all over the place!

Bought a *gasp* Kyosho Lazer ZX6 today to race. Secondhand, so no fun building it, but a third of the price and 4 meets old so happy with that. Now to get it ready for the weekend, as the meets are monthly I don't want to miss this weekend if I can help it.

Broke my 'no more used cars' embargo. Bought a Wild Willy M38 to join all my other non-running moneypits.

The sun is shining, I should have some free time this weekend and none of my cars are in a state to run....

Last night was a full R/C fail..

Firstly went to replace the receiver in my nephews Lunchbox with the 2.4ghz one I had bought, much faffing later it still doesn't work until I went back and properly read the description - lesson 1 - don't spend an hour researching only to save £3 and have something not working, just buy the slightly more expensive proper one

Then I went to fit the new bits to my Blitzer Beetle only to discover I had bought the wrong dog bones a while ago, genuinely don't know how I managed that one as I have changed enough of them

Oh well, replacement bits ordered so both should be running by this weekend I suppose!

Ran my WT01 with CVA's all round and some super soft 108mm  Crawler tyres and new A Team van shell

Rear wheel axle bent as it squished under a parked car at a gentle speed- I am going to remove these 20mm hex extenders as the axles aren't strong enough to take any sort of hit without bending

However the body post bracket I made at the rear worked great!

Fitted fluorescent lighting to my shed/outdoor mancave/painting area so I can now happily paint/work away when the light starts to fail. Next step is to get a wee extractor fan installed so I can work with the door closed (useful come winter time) and eventually get the hut wired to the mains instead of the big extension lead I've been using.
