I think the mould is from the one with the moulded grille, they look the same but Tamiya did some with and some without.

Yeah the original Mini Cooper used the grille pieces the newer ones didn't

Today I picked up a nice Kyosho USA-1 electric monster truck and late production "zebra" RC10 Championship Edition buggy to mess around with.

Topforcein, THAT is pretty drop dead gorgeous with a resto mod kind of way. I think you can change your mind about the smoke windows when using the Tamiya lexan cleaner, it works really well and leaves no residue that I have found in my limited experience with it on vintage bodies. Just a thought should you feel an interior is in the car's future.

Crash Cramer ........ thanks very much I do REALLY love American muscle cars and when I get a chance of getting my hands on one I do.

I have used the smoke paint before but never got good results even ruin'd a couple of shells so I am really scared on using it on this shell.

I do also have the bandit Pontiac to go with this I will have to dig it out and a get a few photos of them together.

I like the sound of an interior .... tbh that's one item I have never used .

Well, I don't know if those "RUINED" shells are still with you, but I am removing some paint from a 30 year old HotShot body and it comes off with some Lexan cleaner and a q-tip so easy you would think the paint just got sprayed on it. Give it some looking into, the sellers seem to be in Asia for it as my LHS isn't carrying anything other than Tamiya Paint for Lexan and that is all.

An exceptional-looking Pontiac! I agree with Crash regarding the windows, if you would feel inclined to put in an interior.

Today, I packed up a set of wheels and tires to head overseas. I also browsed figures with an eye on building an interior of my own... That will not happen for a while, but after seeing some projects online and a useful tutorial on RCCarAction (http://www.rccaraction.com/add-a-realistic-driver-to-your-ride-how-to/), I was inspired to start looking!

Grastens I'm contemplating a cockpit for a rally car too... only a plastic one to paint though, think you should follow your plan through!

Painted some tyres with a Sakura Gelly pen 4mm tip.... my eye sight can just about cope with this!

So Finally finished the Astute!!! Bone stock only mods are the bearings EVERYWHERE and rear universals....

IMG_1974_zpstfl2zdgu.jpg

Then, what started out with me moving these into the attic

IMG_1856_zpsc2uq0wma.jpg

Ended up with me dedicating the last row of my shelves to more RCs (managed to show horn in 7 more models on the shelf along with keeping all my Jeep stuff on the shelf in the mean time while I work on the adjacent wall for those items).

IMG_1976_zpsm0kpqhd9.jpg

and me organizing out my office/play room altogether.

Only "before" shot I took..... but the rest of the office was full of packing materials and empty boxes from parts and cars I'd received....in the before pic there are boxes even removed which were there... sad state.

Before

After

now gotta sort through all my little parts buckets and put them in the bins where they belong........... that will be a while

I picked up my abandoned Lowride Pumpkin build and threw it all together.  Still doesn't look like I imagined when I bought it, but it'll do for now.
