No beaches where I live but great beaches for driving on here at the baltic sea. Would be a pity to miss out on the fun!

I lived next to the sea when I was a kid! And you don't realise what you got until it's not there! I live nowhere near any beaches now and what I wouldn't give to take my Scorcher (and other's) down on a beach on a nice sunny day!😐

Finished painting and mounting the wing on my Neo Scorcher.  Now I'm just trying to decide what kind of motor I want to put in it.  I'm thinking about making this my first brushless motor car.

If you're going to go brushless on this may I suggest using a 13.5T motor?  That's what we run in my daughters TT-02B and it's pretty much perfect.  It'll work with the TBLE-02S ESC.  It doesn't seem to over tax the stock rear differential gears.  It places it in the Super Stock 4WD buggy racing class (if you ever decide you want to race it.  We use the now unavailable Atomik Red motor.  Just about any decent quality motor will work.  If you use the receiver box on your TT-02B I'd probably avoid the Speed Passion motors though.  The nifty end bell bullet connections they use will likely be too long to fit well, if at all.

8poLpBt.jpgWent to my LHS today, have been tossing up between getting a Konghead, a WR-02, or a M-05 V2R for my birthday next week.

Ordered a Konghead through my LHS which will be here after my birthday, mentioned the other two to my LHS (and since I can't justify buying a konghead AND a WR-02) he told me about a derelict stock M-05 he had at home I could have for $15.

He brought it in and I took it home and wasted no time fixing it up and restoring it. I polished all the suspension pins, changed it from 'S' to 'M', fitted it with bearings, put AW grease in the diff, and put a Swift body and wheels I had accumulated on it. Pretty stoked! Although nothing to build next weekend again 😳 😁

Oh what a bundle of joy, nice work, WHAT body is that in green? Looks like a truck from this angle.

You need to standup the front shocks, get the CF shock tower. Laydown original position is impossible to tune.

Yours is used so should be ok, but every brandnew M05 build seems to need about an hour of running to "settle in" before it's worth during any tuning.

Check rear blocks too, make them toein like on R.

That is some information I will keep in mind for when I finally build up my m-05.

OK, body is painted.  I'll do the decals and accessories (rear wing and mirrors) a little bit at a time this coming week.  We should be driving next weekend!

Thanks for the advice!  I was originally going to go for a 13.5t motor but wasn't sure if the car could handle it.  Good to know it can!

Thanks for that Willis, will take that on board. 😊 Will shim it up and see how that goes, I am pretty keen to order some more #54000 dampers for both my M-03 and M-05 as they made a night and day difference to my M-06.

It is a ABC Datsun 1200 body. My LHS painted it to chuck on the M-05 but something reacted with the paint, it still looks o.k, and will do for a runner. I like the colour!

For the past two days I've done..

1) make a universal running body for my King Blackfoot and Blackfoot using a JCConcepts 1993 Ford F250 body.

2) Made running body for my Clodbuster using a Traxxas Bigfoot body

3) Fixed my boys Clodbuster by replacing the suspension arm that mounts the left front shocks.
4) fixed my rear drive belt on my HPI Sport Sprint 2 that has been broken for the past 5 years.

6) Put new servo mounts in my Twin Detonator.

I gave the Scorcher a quick run around our back garden....nothing broke 😂

Order some Tamiya servo tape and some Tamiya side cutters.

I also had a quick look over my Wild One purchase as well.

Your welcome! Here is the Ford 1993 JConcepts body done up with MCI's decals and I made it to fit my KBF and ,my re re BF.

I had a Traxxas Bigfoot body and I mounted the rear bumper to it as well, I just got to get another Traxxas Bigfoot chrome kit to get the bumper so I can add it to this truck.

Looks great.

Your post prompted me to look at JConcepts bodies, which then lead to me looking for a supplier of the 1989 F250 body in the UK.

I found one but the same place also listed that they had 1 Parma F150 lexan Blackfoot shell in stock. Being sceptical as they are very rare these days - I made enquiries, was told they have 1 "according to their system", so I ordered it. And at a really good price.

I'll wait and see if it actually turns up.

If it does then I'll get a set of MCI Blackfoot decals and use it on my rebuilt vintage Blackfoot. Or as it's so rare I'll keep the Parma one for the shelf and run the re-re body that I'll have.

I rebuilt the shocks on this badboy today so that I can take it for a spin tomorrow.

Classic 2WD vintage buggy with a brushless low turn motor and 2S lipo. Can't go wrong in the fun stakes :)

I gave my Twin Detonator it's first decent thrashing since I got it, great fun! I have a tiny park near where I live that's great for bashing, one entire side is a steep bank with a plateau, great for full throttle hill climbs, scrabbling tyres and dirt and leaves flying out the back!

I often think about upgrading the motors but apart from the top speed not being all that great I find the silver cans to be quite sufficient on 2s, the acceleration is pretty aggressive.

All was going well until one of the screws holding the front upright in fell out and did a disappearing act! Must have been loose? Does this happen often? I only ask because I've had it happen a couple of times on other vehicles when I know it has been tight beforehand. Maybe it would be worth adding something like a little blue threadlock? Or maybe a tiny dab of superglue? Just enough that it would easily snap free when you wanted to undo the screw?

A little blue threadlock is always a good thing to carry in the spares box along with a couple of every type of screw the car could lose. I use an old mint tin like Altoids to keep spares with me, the modern cars really only seem to have won or three types and lengths of screws compared to say a HotShot with seven different lengths of machine screws as well as three or four lengths of self tappers, body pins are always with me too. Sometimes I wish Tamiya made smaller tubes of threadlock like the switch grease, but then there would be no way to cap the tube.

I gave my TD a couple of black can Tamyia Sport Tuned motors and it is more then enough power.

I nut and bolted every screw in the suspension area that I could because the screws would always back out on both of our trucks even after trying super glue and lock tight, now I don't have a single problem.

Yep it happened to me too.

Was the main reason I fitted alloy C hubs and steering knuckles, so I could thread lock those screws in.

Glad it's not just me!

Happens on my brushless Nikko Dictator too, maybe it's a twin motor thing?

The later model dictators actually have a pretty cool fix, it's like a metal plate that both reinforces the upright and covers both the screw heads too so they can't come out. I wish they still made decent stuff like that.

Maybe it would be possible to rustle something like that up? Otherwise alloy uprights seem like a decent solution. I really need alloy servo mounts too the servo just moves all about when you turn the steering even on smooth floor, no wonder every body does that mod!
