Finished my ranger off today everything is completely original (apart from the windscreen) which will have to do until such time as a original appears! I bought it pretty cheap very dirty and the alloy had a lot of the white corrosion going on but you could tell it had hardly been used the speed controller had no signs of wear just left somewhere for decades the brass bearing still had the grooves in them I'm very pleased with the outcome:wub:!

It was a week ago, not today. Thing is I finally got to exchange one car I've LOVED since I was a kid, the Lamborghini Cheetah. I handed a cool guy in here an old and beat up Rough Rider from 1979 in exchange for a what is actually a pretty unique 1978 Lamborghini Cheetah. I already have more Riders in my collection, but this is my very first one (the incomes this 2nd semester and postal prices doesn't allow me to buy any more cars from abroad, so this was a chance I could not let go).

Now, the pictures here probably doesn't show anything out of the ordinary with the car, but this here Cheetah is not like anything you have seen before. This is a 4x4 RC vehicle, no kidding! The chassis was customized by the original owner back in the 70's so it is even more extraordinary. Now don't think I am at all excited about destroying such a wonderful piece of RC history by turning it into something it is not <_<

I just LOVE the Cheetah:

And the extra detail just blew my mind:

i hope you gonna buy him a huge breaky sandwich as thanks lol

He wanted a crunchie bar for the radio, and a coffee for the car. I know he collects small diecast  (one being muscle machines) and I have some of those somewhere packed away which he is entitled to.

I have just started looking for bits for it...

No luck for a qd body 😯

By the way, you remember them Chris? All six tires spent some months at your place years ago :) This was the old cheap chassis!

I hope to have some cool news on a possible upgrade to these tires in the future.

Well, looking the tinterweb was right!

Swapped the gears and the brushless is back in business! (Bit of a lumpy bit on the sweep, so must still be a bit of debris floating about)

Being off work with tonsillitis and fed up of daytime tv has given me the chance of some RC tinkering to occupy my mind.

I've finished off most of the remaining jobs on my Black foot restoration and mated a re-re body to the original chassis.75eQPM5kWGCKWaTsc08os5aDM_YhKH_PTBf5ry6h

Took the 5700kv castle motor, from the speed run, into work for the elec to check over. Not going to earth and 'balanced' (?), so tried it with the mamba max on 2s. Juddered, ran, juddered then stopped. Battery wires warm and motor getting hot, it's bin fodder 😔

I'm guessing blackened wires are not a good sign!

Yeah he collects hot wheels as well. He was rattling off some of the more obscure stuff he had, would like to see them one day.

Today after work I took the konghead and dump truck to a park after work and had another good time. Then when I got home I went to charge my oldest lipo which was in another RC, found out the RC had been left on and the Lipo was dead (wouldn't even light up the battery checker) and was swollen, so promptly cut the connector off and chucked it into a bucket of salt water. That is two Lipo batteries I have had pack up in two weeks, the other dropped a cell 😳

Oh that is looking great, I just hope that cow doesn't come over and ruin your track or make any additions to it either. ;)

Haha, the cow is fiberglass, so no worries there!

I finished my second Nissan R91CP reissue.

I bought this one as a part-kit. Most of the missing bits were easy enough to get from the usual suppliers. The cockpit though, seems to be rather rare. A big thank you to @Tamiyabigstuff for supplying that

very hard-to-find part.

Virgin Media did some maintenance on the broadband in my area a few days ago and now my internet (or my router) is intermittent. So I've managed to finish up a few shells (sort of) over the last few days...

I was originally going to do red & silver (based on the Plug In Bug project I'd found pictures of via Google) but I really liked the result I got, colour-wise, with the orange on the Stratos so I decided to give the same colours to my VW Bug. BTW I really hate the VW Bug shell now. It cracked in a few places as I was painting it and the decals for the lights don't seem to want to stay stuck down because of the curvature of where they're placed. Heating them didn't help either. That means I'm going to have to get a replacement, sooner rather than later. Hopefully the VW Beetle Rally MF01X will make the shell available again as I can't find any at the moment.

I've masked up my Parma Blackfoot shell and put a couple of coats on the front grille and rear bumper. Then it started raining.

I've fitted a lift kit to my Super Clodbuster to make the TXT-2 shocks fit. And fitted the TXT-2 shocks. I used the springs from the stock shocks as the TXT ones were too soft.

It was the last that the place I got it from had.

Possibly the last....in the world!

Well your painting of the driver is justice to the rarity of the cockpit! Good work!
