Took my nephew and his new Lunchbox out to the park. Decided to get my Monster Beetle charged up and ready to go as well.

Was fun throwing it around in the icy grass :)

It's been a bit of a ballrace day for me today. Took the mini apart to fit it with ballraces and decided to take the Emaxx's gearbox apart for the first time i got it to see what state it was in. It was clean as a whistle apart from 2 worn ball bearings. Not bad for an 8 year old car thats been used and abused!

I built another Striker. I did an almost completely new build out of new parts trees and new bagged parts I'd bought for spares over the past few years. The MSC, resistor and servos are used, albeit on a partially built Sonic Fighter which was never run, and the shock shafts were from a broken Striker chassis. The Striker was the first Tamiya I owned when I was a kid (the previously mentioned broken one :() so it was fun to build it properly this time round. :P

Today I ordered an EZRun 8.5T 60A system for my DF02 "Formula Off Road" project, and a Hilux bodyset for my Xtrail equippped AX10 crawler.

Also, replacement chassis tub for my Falcon arrived so will probably spend the weekend stripping and rebuilding it!

Don't ******* about. Brushless in mine!

Thats planned for later :) I want to brace it up a bit first and do the third shock mod on the rear

Bought another Losi LM-32k today, stuck it in my M03 still running the TEU-101bk and 20t pinion.

Went and dragged 1:1 cars on the street, wait for them to pass, then accelerate up behind them and overtake them in the oncoming lane :) (not with oncoming traffic though, i'm not that daft).

Quite funny to see them going "huh?" out the drivers window and the look on their faces watching this little pregnant rollerskate buzz by :D

Yesterday, I picked up a re-re Fire Dragon, a full set of bearings, and a new Tactic 2.4ghz radio.

Today, I'm just savoring the sight of all those parts trees, the shape of the uncut body shell, the smell of the tires. It'll get built soon, but I want to take this one slow. When I was a kid, I couldn't build them fast enough. Now, when everything seems to come RTR, the build process seems more important.

^ nice. i have been toying with the idea of picking up a fire dragon.

today i ordered a new chassis for my df01 from rc mart and a ta01/df01 alloy mainshaft.

i'm getting my df01 ready for brushless.

does anyone remember what alloy motor mount to stay away from?

Took the VLB and Pajero out for a spin in the snow. VLB didn't really have the clearance for the snow, and far too much power. Pajero was better, but needs front diff locked.

PICT0077.jpg

Tryed without diff and it turned on 1,55 meter, and with diff it turned on 1,2 meter!!!

Thats what I call a good turn on a vintage SRB!!!

I forgot I had brassgears in that car (Bel-Ray Bullet)

If you have a computer radio, try increasing the steering throw to 120 per cent on L and R (U / D)! That's an extra 20 per cent each side so 40 percent extra steering lock! I made my F150's turning circle much tighter by doing this. I also slackened the MIP diff. a little as well since it only runs on carpet.

With a geared diff. you would also have a slightly better turning radius.

Ive kinda been a naughty boy,the ride over the tops was that scenic the other day,I`ve been again. and come home the proud father of a new lunchbox.Ah well so much for the not buying much this year :(

Charged up the batteries for the first time since moving house. The sheet ice on the road outside is just too tempting! So this is less about what I've done today and more about what I hope to get up to tomorrow.. :(

Just about finished the Clod shell. Bit rough and ready, but then I won't feel so bad when I ruin it through over-enthusiastic use.

Twin Sport Tuned motors with a TEU-103 ESC should be fun enough until I decide on a fast basher.
