not today but last night i did somthing i thought i would never have to do with my dremel type tool and that was to cut my wife's wedding ring of her finger as it had turned her finger purple and i didnt fancy a trip to a&e or the local fire station for that. mind i was surprised on how easy it conducted heat even thought i put a nail file between the ring and her finger.

When I built my Lowride Pumpkin last year, at the back of my mind was a static model I made around 35 years ago, based on the 1:25 AMT '53 custom F100.  I was putting the Christmas tree away in the attic this morning and by chance, spotted it.  A quick dust-off and here we are.

Unfortunately it highlights the deficiencies in the Tamiya shell.

And with my original '89 Midnight Pumpkin and MP Jr.

Had a first go and parts layout and installing on a Rising Fighter/Grasshopper2/Hornet linkage steering idea I have. Looks like it might work. Just waiting on some bearings for the link and I can see if I can get it working. It centres the steering and hopefully increases the woeful steering lock of the stock setup. Will post a build thread with some pics if it works.

Also started a thread over on the Electric discussion board hoping to get a database of TBLE-02S setups going. People are always asking. I have taken a risk on running 8.4v nimh on a couple of mine with good results so I have listed them. If anyone is running Lipo on these then could you add your setup to the list and any mods required? I thjnk it would be really helpful for people. Cheers

Have you tried putting the milliput into hot water? Might soften it enough to work with better. Keeping it wet helps for a smoother finish as well

Ahh no... to be honest i didn't even read the manual with it, just the side of the box (typical male). Thanks for the heads up, I will give it another go next time and try the hot water.

i still have the full fenders on my grand hauler with the motorised legs fitted to my trailer and their is no problems.

the fenders are one of the reasons why i brought the grand hauler. i am after a new set for mine and i would buy them of you if you ain't gonna use them but it would prob cost to much to buy and post them to me as i remember what it cost me to send them items to you.

I would let you have them if you wanted them, but yeah postage might be a bit prohibitive being the size and NZ being a bit behind the times. Give me a few days and I will get you a price.

Here is my Hauler. Still needs a polish and details painted, plus I might get some decals for the sides... stole the trailer from my KW

Last night I made a instant rally course in the snow on my driveway and tested out my xv-01 with the slipper clutch, new pinion, and my first run ever using a LiPo.  Super fun!!  Super cold though, it was around 7 degrees.

Love this shot. Could almost be a real car. Nicely set up/caught.

Today I ah' bin' mostly confused that the holes in the chassis of my kit car are smaller than the screws that go in them. If I didn't have an electric screwdriver I would have shattered my wrist. They were definitely the right screws cos I put them on the little diagram to make sure I used the right ones.

I'm going to make a guess that you're using an average screwdriver from your household toolkit. I did the same thing on my first build and almost stabbed my hand with the screwdriver.

Do you have a JIS screwdriver? Here's one that I use. It fits the heads of the screws much better, requiring less force to keep the screwdriver from slipping out of the screws.

Someone else had this idea before and printed the labels after scanning them. I recently found out, that you can carefully remove the stickers from the parts bags and they will stick again.

Either way, it definitely makes finding parts easier.

MST CFX-W completed just now. Six months of tests and modifications to adapt it to the JK body; ok, I was not very assiduous, not even fast...

now I'm almost ready for the next step with a new Tamiya model; 2wd, front transmission, small wheels...

Started rebuilding my Top Force.

Rebuilt the diffs and built the gearboxes, with suspension arms, ready to attach to the chassis.

Just need to find where I've put my spare o-rings, to pop into the diff out drives, before I forget.

Blizzard here today so I got a new optima body painted because my original tamiya metallic orange was flaking off. Hopefully this tamiya blue doesnt have the same issue.

Ordered a Flysky FS-GT3C with battery and RX plus two extra RX's so I can get rid of my other tx's and save on AA's, by the time I have sold off my other TX and rx's I would have made my money back so all good!

Finally got servo and steering rods into my DT03 Racing Fighter. All wired up too.

Not sure if I have an issue with the steering angles now though so need to figure that out.

Got my RC10 drivable at last. Need to rebuild the diff but I knew that.

Then I built the Hi Cap dampers for my Top Force - they are very nice. And mounted them to the front and rear gearbox assemblies.

Ran my newly purchased DT02 Rough Rider purchased from TC Member Mr Crispy......... it scoots with a 3100kv brushless motor and 2s lipo on it's highest 19t pinion.

Then I did some jumping with it.....

Then I got cocky and thought I would hit the jump a bit faster :(

I have now ruined that lovely Rough Rider shell..... it might teach me to be more careful and patient and wait until I've strengthened the shell before attempting any rough stuff, but probably not!

As a final flurry for the day I thought I would recreate a BMX jump by turning the front wheels whilst airboune.... - BMX Bandit style.

Sure did, and the Floureon £3.99 2s 5200mah hardcase lipo performed admirably in it giving me 30 minutes drive bing till I got bored and stopped, this made up for the bad crash’s :)

Back home the cells were both at 3.83v ready to store now :)
