Trying out a new tire glue.  Unlike standard CA cement, this states that it has a 30-45 second set time.

Well, after letting them sit for like 5 minutes they were on just as nice as with the AKA CVA cement I usually use.  My stress was a lot less using this stuff than the other.  The next time I have buggy tires to glue, I'm so going to use it.

Not Super Clods left mate, GS is buying my last one.

Only Juggernauts, TXT-2s, a nib Bush Devil 58101 and nib Super Blackfoot

Are you a dealer or did you just amass a big collection? I've seen a few comments you've made which could be interpreted like you have wholesale contacts as well. I couldn't be a supplier, I would want to build all the kits and never sell them (i love buying things but hate selling them). Although I do know a few of the small outfits down here who sell otop end gear also offer a build service, maybe thats what I should do

Just amassed a large collection and spent far to much money over the recent years. I also tend to buy multiples of things which compounds everything.

I refocused my priorities last year and decided to stop buying and to sell all of it.

Certainly the kits and parts I have sold on here have all been priced for member's benefit so less (in some cases significantly) than I paid. I would rather them go to new homes and be enjoyed.

Mocked up my Tamiya Droid before polishing and painting the legs.

After seeing a post from Jun Watanabe with one of these in the background, I designed and 3D printed a set of legs that fits perfectly to the contours of a Tamiya can :)

I and my family are certainly enjoying 3 of your very well priced sell offs. Thanks.

Tried my new shell out on track this Sunday. It's for the BSR Racing M.Rage, which is shaping up to be quite the touring car chase missile.

IMG_1841.jpg

Around our very tight track I can chase around touring cars running 17.5t in blinky easily. It doesn't have the outright speed, but the cornering is much tighter. I think with a bit more torque (something like either a Sports Tuned or a 21.5t) this should be capable of running the same laptimes as the big 4WD TCs.

3 motors

2 ESC

1 receiver

2 batteries

1 servo, soon to be 2.

Got another hole to cut for more steering, but not sure which one to do yet?

It does drag a bit, wont take long to fit another servo. This is what happens when you buy a car for parts.

Now I need more parts. lol

I got a spare car to get all the bits for 4WS, so I can do 4WS but not 6WS yet, not sure it will need it?

The mini eggs are long gone, They are so tasty. the receiver is in the tub, it's a soft case 8channel drone receiver so extra protection and waterproofing.

Ah, I was thinking something like this. Not necessarily the rock crawling, but watch how the steering works to get around.

*goes off to find mini eggs*

Started making the ‘custom’ Velcro rear mount for my BMW 2002.

Velcro attached to a horizontal bar of ABS, glued to cut down body posts.

On the second attempt at placement - first was visible at the edge of the rear windows.

If the placements works, I’ll reinforce with milliput.

Think I’ll need some lexan scissors to trim the rear wheel arch slightly. They will come in handy to tidy up the Bowler shell for painting.

Worked out that my tx issues are most likely down to low battery. Ran the Bowler chassis in the house and had to chase it to keep the tx and rx linked!

So, started moving out RC cars and I liked this DT01 better than my shelf queen so it's staying for now. Figured Id use these otherwise useless GF01 wheels on it too. Oh and demolished the DT02 for its cleanup/rebuild.

Also non-Tamiya but I cleaned up two TLR SCTs to get them rebuilt into decent neighborhood bashers

Ordered a new radio - an ex-display Futaba T4GRS from Modelsport, reduced by £20 compared to an unopened box one.

Also ordered a LiFe battery for it from Hobbyking.

Now I need to source a bunch of receivers and then I'll have my existing Core-RC radio and bunch of receivers up for sale - unless by some huge stroke of luck the Core-RC receivers bind to the Futaba.

I recently had a look for a core receiver CR598 but they don't seem to be available any more along with the CR151 transmitter. Have you got any idea why?

I emailed Schumacher (owner/distributor of Core RC) about that earlier in the week.

They've been discontinued was the reply.

Most of my receivers are the CR598. So if you're still in the market for one (or more) when I've replaced them I can give you a shout.

Did they say if they were replacing it with an equivalent? Yes please of you don't mind. Cheers

No they just said they were discontinued and the manufacturer couldn't make any more.

When I've got some I don't need I'll drop you a line.

I sold a DT-03T to a guy I work with.  It suddenly just stopped working this past weekend.  He's been asking me troubleshooting questions all week and finally, he brought the whole thing in so I could take a look.  As it turns out the TBLE-02S ESC is dead.  Like dead, dead.  No lights, nothing.  Which is unusual for this ESC.  They generally quite robust so long as they don't get soaked.  But sure enough, I plugged in a spare I have in my bits box and it worked like a champ.  I'm going to bypass the switch tonight to see if that's the issue.

Since his motor is a Leopard 21.5T sensored brushless, he's going to order up a HobbyWing QuicRun 10BL210 ESC to replace it.  At least the new ESC will give him a proper low voltage cut off for the LiPo battery he's running.

Here is my fun for the next couple of weeks, waiting on a bearing set and a shipment of half a Gallop from a gent on RCTech.net to provide the needed rear roll cage due to this one being broken. This will sit on the shelf it is complete and the gears are near virgin along with the tires. Percymon was kind enough to part with a Progress so it will be my 4WDS vintage racer/runner and that will get posted on its own thread along with my Gallop MK I. Glad the two are of the COX variant since i don't think many were sold in comparison to the Scorpion chassis line.

I'm interested to see where this goes, I've wanted to do something similar since I got back into RC but basically i'm waiting for my experience/skill level to get high enough lol. I especially like the relative simplicity of the chassis rails, that kind of thing is of particular interest because I don't have much in the way of tools for working on metal so being able to start with off the shelf stuff would be a bonus.

That thing has fun written all over it.

I shorted out the power switch and it still no worky.  Very odd.  I cracked the case and the cap is in fine shape.  There are no obviously popped circuits on the board either.  That's the first failed TBLE-02S ESC I've seen.  Hunh...  First time for everything I suppose.
