This evening I stickered the Neo Fighter body that I painted yesterday. Annoyingly I got a few paint bleeds on this but it's one of the kids bashers so not the end of the world.

Finally set up my remaining Juggernauts ready for sale.

Middle shelf, wholly original Juggernaut 1 (got box and instructions still etc). Run once or twice 18 years ago. This has the original kit axles and gearbox not even the first care package installed. I have a new 1st iteration care pack and new second iteration full gear box / axel upgrade care pack for it. This has the period correct vintage electronics & MSC fitted too.

Top shelf, new built Juggernaut 2. Fitted with a TEU-106BK and Tactic TTX300.

Also got to meet @Granddad Stinkywho collected my vintage Super Clod Buster, hence the space on the bottom shelf.

Watched some YouTube videos of full-size heavy-lift truck/trailer combinations (34 axles anyone ? :o ).  Love that ALE Trojan tractor in the pic below.

Needless to say, someone's already done similar stuff in RC, I just wish I had the space and the money (and the skills) to do the same.

Yesterday my Schumacher Cat Block tyres arrived. This evening I fitted them to my Racing Fighter (soon to be basher) :)

So I managed  to mount the motor on the TNX, but my pinion fears are recognized in that the spur is now shredded. The pinion doesn't mesh well, can anyone help with the pinion I need the one I used is mod 1 rps20180201_224837.jpg.ffd3cba3283782770ea346e9f359485f.jpg

This was my living back in the mid to late 80's these tractors look a lot more high tec than ones we used (scammell contractors) and one American dodge which caught fire because of brake binding if I remember it wasn't very good anyway

Today I got my onroad cars ready for the first race meet tomorrow afternoon. This means my TA07 is back to 21.5T blinky spec and I never got a speed run in. I did a couple of runs in it with the 5.5T motor and think I got the spur and pinion wrong anyway, so next time I will run higher gearing. This week we went from heatwave to unseasonal storm so no chance to get a speed run in.

Well, almost ready. They both run which is a start, but the motors are drawing around 3 amps not 6amps which is optimal. Hopefully someone at the club has a motor analyser and is happy to set them up for me.

I've swapped springs etc back to carpet setup but need to double check a few things. I will do that tomorrow while batteries are charging.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, I have a new body for the TA07 which should help handling, as well as spring sets so I have some tuning options. I also have read the Hudy setup guide so may have a small chance of getting some setup right.. Finally, I have both cars running so should get some decent track time.

@TurnipJF what ride height do you set your F1 to?

Another productive albeit freezing night of activity in the garage! First off was starting to move out more cars out of the wardrobe/airing cupboard/under the bed etc. Still need to move all the SRB's & Wild Willys/Wheelers across though...

Did a bit more spraying work, 2 original Rough rider shells - 1 primed, 1 painted + a Bright pink Lunchbox I'm building for my 3yr old daughter!

Thundershot update:-

Rebuilt the rear gearbox, added the drive shafts, arms uprights and suspension. Even put on the new wheels and tires that I got.

Then stripped and started to clean the front gearbox.

Masked the Bronco for painting.

Xnuk5v2.jpg

At this point the entire body is covered in masking tape except for the rear bumper and tailgate handle.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the painting started tomorrow.  I can then finish my WRX NBR next week.  I'm still tempted to buy one more body, but I'm now looking forward to putting away the paint and masking tape until next summer.

That's a lot of tape mate 😮

I've had to do similar to a Capri body but on others where like yours it's just the rear valance in black I brushed on  PC black paint, but my pots dried up now👎.

Looks nice and fiddly though 🙂

I'm so glad I bought the 40mm wide tape before starting, otherwise I don't think I would have had the patience to finish.  I'm just hopeful that when I peel off each stage of the masking tape it won't pull off the layer underneath.

It's definitely a lot more fiddly than I first envisioned for the Bronco. I almost chickened out and went with a simple all black paint scheme.  That'll be the back up plan if things go wrong.  Either that or put the Bronco on the driveway and then back over it.  ;)

I'm currently sitting in the car waiting for my Daughter to finish her dance class. Seeing as I have to sit here for two hours I thought I might as well pop to my local model shop (Mick Charles Models) for a browse. As is usually the case I was relieved of some money while I was there haha. I bought a hard case Lipo for my daughters Lunchbox so she can take it out once the weather brightens up :) Once again I was surprised to find that their prices were actually less than Modelsport!

I can't remember the colour to be honest. I painted this about 10 years ago. Luckily it's my Daughters favourite colour though haha.
