Fitted a new Alturn servo in my TT-01 race truck. Much quicker and less slop in the steering now. Race night can't come round soon enough!

Dn01 is a great build and handles great. The only differences are hex screws, lots of parts are plastic (including shims),ball diff doesnt have shims, dog bones and trf shocks.

How's your Zahhak running Rb?

Great have not run it much because of the winter but i rebuilt the ball diff around christmas time.  The diff felt gritty when  i spun the wheels. I got a few nice days to try it out and seemed great. How is the trf 211? Have you got to race it much? I actually sold my dt03t, i never used it much anymore and was sick of the rear gearcase breaking all the time. I just ordered an agrios to take up my time.

Celebrated my first pay since returning to work after shared parental leave by ordering up a full set of 90mm yeah racing desert lizard shocks, wheel wells and stinger front bumper with winch mount for my Scx10ii.

After that I did some work on my cc01 by mounting magnets onto the chassis to replace the stock body posts which will mean that when I get around to painting the Subaru Brat body I've got kicking around it'll have a nice scale look without ugly body posts poking out.

Just ordered a Core 4000mah lipo pack for the Lunch Box and some Venom 88s for a future Blitzer project.

I’m about to buy that lipo, where did you get yours from? Modelsport?

And what are Venom 88’s?

I could never get the 211 dialed in.  I got frustrated and jumped to the Mod 4WD SCT class.  I'm digging it quite a bit so far.  I'm also much better at driving it than I was my 201 or 211.

I can’t get into sct only because i am not a fan of how the bodies look on the trucks, but at my local track besides 4wd 13.5 everyone races them. If tamiya didnt kill their trf line i would of definitely of gotten a 211 in the past year.  Don’t let yours go to waste lol.

Yes Jason, from Modelsport. The Venom 88s are Schumacher buggy rear tyres. they say they are for carpet. The tread is more like a road tyre, I want them for bashing a Blitzer Beetle I haven't bought yet!

The outdoor track I go to is tarmac. The standard tyres don't appear to last long on hard surfaces. That's what owners say anyhow...

Complete new look for the M04L Beetle.... added tyre decals... look great but not sure how long they will stay on when running?

Then my new wheels for this Porsche 914 shell came in.

Cool thanks, I'll go Modelsport too., and yes those Blitzer tyres will wear out quickly on tarmac with any rear wheel spinning action, I think ended up going for Proline Dirt Hawgs street tyre to last longer in 2.2 size on my Blitzer.... but that was all sold ages now.

I gave the hydrofoil a run. It went OK, rudder is a bit loose so it would turn nicely for a while then mid turn straighten up and only turn the opposite direction. Which was a bit awkward when it was heading out to sea...!

Firebolt I'd put in it got far too hot an cut out for a while but it gets up on the foils OK.

It really needs some time playing about with motors, props and balancing it which I'm not going to do so.... if anyone is interested let me know and you can probably have it (minus electrics) for the cost of postage. Be warned though it's not a high quality item...

This should be a little video of it, nearly dropped my phone in the sea   View My Video

And a couple of pics of it bobbing about

I've just had another play with this, moved the battery forward for better balance, and put in my Gool RC brushless motor and changed the prop to the biggest that will fit without hitting the rudder.

Conclusions are that it likes flat water, doesn't like wind, won't steer and if you hit the throttle from a standstill it will launch itself into the air :D

When it gets up on its foils it really shifts though and looks good.

I thought I was done with it this time but I'm going to re-align the prop shaft and make a new rudder and give it one last shot.

The sea isn't the best place to use it, I had to paddle over the top of my wellies when the prop shaft seized because I hadn't done the lock nuts up tight enough and it unwound the one behind the prop and jammed it up against the end of the tube.

Well today I fitted my Vampire Racing AB+ 5.5T motor into the TM E4JS that I got from Max AD, also test fitted the lipo, some neat and cool thoughts went into the chassis design. 👍. Oh and also got the Yokomo SS-6 Aeration dampers fitted too (and lovely they are) just waiting for my Turnigy servo and Vampire Racing SR1 ESC to arrive, then it's test time 😀😀

Whilst this probably doesn't look like much, it's taken me nearly 3 months of swapping by bits around before tonight's revelation where I've finally found a combination of WR02, TL01, M03, M02 & Votec Fighter parts that have given me the look I think the City Honda should have had from day 1;

In case anyone was wondering, that's it's actual ride height, which maintains full suspension travel & 100% tyre contact on the road (no silly camber). I just need to figure a way of moving the rear wheel slightly more central in the arch without cutting anything & I'll do a proper build thread.

Toe-in rear uprights? That shares the gearbox with a WR02 right? So TL01 bits should work?

Looks smart though all the same B)

Unfortunately not quite that simple as it's running M03 lower arms which pulls everything in enough to gain clearance for the wheels & keep them under the arches 😬

It should shouldn't it? 53345 is listed as TL01 / M03.

Unless I'm missing something else!

It all fits,

the issue is when the upper link is connected as the length is so short between the hub & chassis that it's almost impossible to avoid creating positive camber, Im literally dialled in at 0 degrees on the back with no where to go 😕
