SteelRat 46 Posted April 9, 2010 Spent the evening scouring the internet for a decent font to use for a californian style number plate font to make some custom plates for my Mad Rat Beetle and Monster Beetle. Came up with "Steelfish" font for the Mad Rat (with the word STEELRAT) and just used the standard Windows font "Impact" for the Monster Beetle (with the letters "I8A 4RE".. think about it ). Also painted up the "P" parts for both cars and fitted them, along with the windscreen wipers. Finished off the paint job and applied repro MB decals to my Mega Monster Beetle. Just the top links and radio gear to make / fit now! Pics to follow soon.
PaPeRo 30 Posted April 11, 2010 Finished the paint job and decals now I need to mount the rear bumper to the body and attach the wing, might try one of my alloy GT wings instead of the stock wing. Just now finished attaching the rear bumper with homemade screws.

PaPeRo 30 Posted April 14, 2010 Today my 99% stock M04L got a nice boost in speed via a 3S LiPo vs the 2S that was in it prior. Silvercan + Tekin Rebel I + 3S LiPo = FAST.

mb_c11 0 Posted April 21, 2010 Ordered a set of TRF shocks for my TA03 project (still need an EZ-Run and body and it will be ready to run). Installed ball bearings in my M01M Honda S-MX Lowdown project car (which has only a few Tamiya parts ), then realized I was missing one of the gears - mislaid it somewhere and can't find it . Fitted the body - Tech racing bits + Kose bits = gorgeous

Sayer 742 Posted April 21, 2010 I finnished rebuilding the chassis of my old M-02 Abarth 1000 TCR..., only to find out I had used the front end from a M-02 M... *embarrased* Wouldn't the only difference be the chassis spacer?
mr. Rallying 8 Posted April 21, 2010 Wouldn't the only difference be the chassis spacer? On the M-02/02M it's the complete front end that's shorter/longer.
Blacque Jacque 4 Posted April 25, 2010 My race packs seem to have lost their punch lately, so they're all getting a run on the equaliser today.
dazaa 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Stripped the silver paint off my celica grb rims today. Discovered 2 things, 1, that over cleaner is brilliant for stripping thin paint off plastic without damaging it, 2 that the silver paint was protecting 3 white wheels from any signs of discolouring, they look like new! Shame I only have 3 though Dazaa
taliesin 260 Posted April 25, 2010 Left some idiot negative feedback on ebay. It really grills me to have to resort to this. Ebay protections are a joke and their resolution process is a complete farce. I try to be reasonable when I get a damaged item, and I usually don't ask for a full refund, just that the seller works with me for a fair compromise - we all know things can get damaged in transit. Seems like nobody even wants to answer an email, let alone resolve an issue. On the bright side, I still got a decent [even if damaged] car for a good price and I can fix what broke. Seller gets a negative rating, and there's naught he can do about since I paid immediately. Under Ebay's new policy, he just has to live with it now. Pity he didn't want to be cool about it. Not my problem though.
