This moning, I put a 4300KV brushless into my Dt03 buggy, charged the 2S lipo, and went for a spin on the streets. GPS speedometer clocked it at 55kph. :D

Then, I had to do some DIY stuff for my house.

When finished, took the buggy for another spin as the battery still had ample charge..... and now I have to get some glue to put the front suspension back in place because concrete curb stones still outmatch a plastic buggy chassis..... <_<

I went through all my boxes on Tamiya which was quite satisfying.

1 box for each model with all spares and handsets etc and then a box for tools, 1 for odd spares and 1 for surplus kits to sell and so on.

It feels under control and I have a better understanding of what I have now.

I found some great stuff in there I’d forgotten I had which was very cool !

Yesterday I finished masking my Mk1 Golf body and got the first color sprayed on it.  I'll do the next color today as the weather seems to be cooperating for once.

There’s not a lot you can do with the Striker apart from fit a CRP front bumper brace which is easy enough after you drill 1 extra hole in the main chassis and then use a file to elongate the two holes in the metal brace itself.

You’re right about using the Sonic Fighter front tower which is taller than the Strikers And has correct top mounting holes which will allow CVA’s... if you want a SF tower let me know I have a spare or two.

Here she is!

I think I did OK, a little peel on the stickers here and there and the rear tyres have very slight flat spots but not enough to really effect running. Seems to be hardly used. Only a little scuffing underneath and loads of tread on the tyres!

I think I'll just try and sneak an ESC under the old MSC where the reciever pack sits.

Finished painting my Mk1 VW Golf body for my new M-05.  Got to start painting the front grill and wait for the decals I ordered to arrive.

Nice Bug ;)

While I was in the States recently I picked up some Silver/Chrome & Black paint pens from Hobby Lobby. Just haven't got round to trying them out yet. The silver trims look great painted in.

Been flat chat just lately, desperately trying to catch on here briefly before going to help a mate move house, but I did manage to get to put some stickers on last night :)

That look in very good condition with immaculate wheels,  great score! You’re lucky I missed this as I’d have liked to add it to my collection lol, especially if you got it for a bargain price!

Have fun with it, certainly one of the quirkiest buggies Tamiya designed, it just screams 80’s which I know you love 💗

Beware that changing to the SF front tower does drastically alter the look of the buggy, much much higher in comparison to stock and can appear out of scale if stared at for too long... price to pay for CVA’s ;)

Put some new shoes on the Dt-03. 2.2" Schumacher full spike rear and mini spikes upfront, both with soft inserts... What a difference! Have had to wind the initial punch down to its lowest but it still raises the front off into the air if I'm not careful with the throttle. The front end now points exactly where you want it, so much so that the car grip rolled a few times on the grass. Have also switched the rear shocks to 60w oil and moved them to the center hole on the top mount. Also fitted the reinforced bulk head which has made the damper mount much more solid.

More garage racing!

That's a perfect example of why the M chassis with a reasonable motor can trump an uber-chassis with a mega brushless for outright fun.

I can imagine 90% of the market being satisfied by the bottom 10% of vehicles these days. No wonder TRF isn't what it used to be.

Finished a night shift, but couldn't sleep. So I finished off two projects and improved a third.

Pleased with the modified rear wing on the Porsche. I still flip on whether I like the mustard yellow colour. It's an excuse to get another ;)

AMG is a thing of beauty.  I wasn't sure of the matt top coat, but it really sets it off.

EVO X is on my XV01 LD. I had some inspiration and found some unused racing stickers, so it's starting to look a lot more like the rally car I intended. Looks much more the part as it bounds round the garden

Love your garden track and when it rains into the garage!

Thanks!  This summer was a real washout with a tremendous amount of rain, so the garage track is and was being heavily used!

The M chassis with a 2s lipo and Torque Tuned motor is what I use.  It's a ton of fun, the 1/12 scale size and the tight track are a perfect combo.  I don't think I ever use more than 1/3 throttle, and a battery pack lasts forever!

Deceided to get my specky out the loft to see if it still works ....and it does apart from it could do with a new keyboard membrain or it may just need realigning but with around 10 screws holding the membrain on it gets a bit time consuming.

What would you think to a nice little ramp in the middle of the long (ish) straight... only about 3-5cm high, just to get airborne before hitting the left hander.. that worms eye view would love that.

Me and my F104 buddy went to our man cave I have found my old 27mHz transmitter and modded the battery. Now it has 1 instead of 8 batteries.

but havent got time for it today. More tomorrow.

my friend did paint his second body for his F104v2 pan car build. A Protoform Saphire.

body hasnt been trimmed yet. I like the combination and how the stickersnturned out, it will look cool on the track, reminds me of Serpents paint work.
