Tried the Tamiya paint stripper on some Marui parts that needed the silver paint off.

This stuff works great! Only took me a few minutes per item. ^_^

So today I installed a 64P 80T Yeah Racing delrin racing spur, with the 35T 64P pinion installed in my F103, it gives a FDR of 2,28 and I love the looks of it, before it

 had a 93T spur and 35T pinion with a FDR 2,65.

I cant wait to try it, we are supposed to go and run our F1's next week after christmas. :)

and I changed the white (red) TRF spring that came with the damper to a shorter softer M chassis spring. need to test it.

Thanks to a small bonus at work, I have been able to justify ordering a TXT-2 from Tamico. Too good an offer to miss. Squared it with Mrs BC too so no trying to hide the mahoosive box when it arrives!

Going to have to make room for the assembled truck though so something may have to go from the fleet...

Picked up my Super Astute from my parents, where it had been delivered yesterday. No plans to build it yet, it can sit alongside my Egress kit for a while.

This evening has been spent applying decals to my boys Christmas King Yellow. Just got to fit the accessories to the body and then mount it and I can call that one done.

Wow people have been busy.

Trying desperately to catch up on a few things on here, but with only very small opportunities to do so as life is getting in the way it’s a bit tricky, so if everyone could stop posting for the the next couple of months that would be great, Ta 👍🏻 😉

Finished Old Willy for the Christmas competition.

A bit of a rush job (this is getting to be a theme with my builds) with the odd half hour grabbed before work over the past week and a half.

White Milliput is great fun but you have to make sure you mix it well!

Used the paint stripper on a Marui Big Bear body.

More rounds and detailing to do, but is comes along nicely. ^_^

a small add on from last night.

Transmitter got a tire insert fitted, I like the feel of the bigger wheel.

and I did fixed my Fighter Buggy RX body that I have now same as the car, about 20 years now. and it just recently broke the spoiler.

still waiting to harden complete, and did I mention I installed a aluminium 48P 80T Spur on my TA05 with a 30T 48P pinion. haven tried it yet, but the sound of alu gears is cool heh.

2czvyua.jpg2nun1tt.jpg

this was due to the 80T 64P spur moving to the F103, and this Spur I had laying around, saved it for my XRAY T1, but I'll stay with the 84T 48P in the XRAY and rather use the 29T pinion on the xray.

Messed up a replacement wing for my Cat XLS. Tried to carefully fill the inner part of the end plate by holding the can closer... Not my finest hour! Have another one just in case I can't sort this. It may sand down to be fair. Also got the first coat of Lacquer on the Pumpkin which is coming along nicely.

went parking lot bashing with my buddy who owns a F103 with F104v2 rear motor mount and no friction plate, with 235mm wheelbase build by me. Of course I broke the spoiler on my F103 for the 10th time I believe, but its already glued together, only this time it broke in 3 parts.

And my DF02 went to the box for some time until I catch time to fix the front diff.

Finished off the body for my boys King Yellow and got it mounted on the chassis. Tick that one off as done.

Trimmed a new body for my other boys Super Hotshot. Hoping to get chance tomorrow to paint and decal it. If not the current body will suffice for the time being.

Facing the end of my Lancia Rally's tires with no spares in sight, and with pockets too shallow to afford anything that comes up, I have sourced several parts that I hope will allow me to run the Lancia 037 Rally wheels with Landfreeder tires:

HC-9805543_1.jpg

All the parts I need still cost less than a pair(!) of NOS tires.

The decision is still out on upright choice - I guess I will be trying both F103GT uprights and CW-01 uprights with hex adapters, and see which one of them fits the ORV chassis, replacing their odd SRB-sourced uprights.

If it all comes together, though, I fully expect to be resurrecting my original Lancia :)

Incredibly given the time of year and that I ordered Thursday, Proline F150 Flotek body plus some tyres and bits arrived yesterday and my Turnigy SCT arrived this morning. This afternoon looked like this!

Can’t wait to see the Flotek body mounted on this as I might copy that one day for my own Turnigy SCT... I had a Flotek on a Slash 2wd back in the day and even managed to cut all those air vent holes out... that was difficult ;) Good luck with the build.

Last night I got out my mint TA01 roller with a view to prepping a new Ferrari Enzo shell on... but the front tower and bodyposts sit way too high for this low nosed shell it will not work.

I just had a quick look again and saw the front bumper has two holes which I might be able to secure some body posts to which means I might be able relocate the posts from the front tower... this might work Trigger... play it nice n cool my son, nice n cool... know what I mean?!

Today - clumsy, ham-fisted idiot that I am - I managed to screw up the new Super Hotshot body I was trying to get ready for Christmas

It was cutting out the slots at the front that proved to be my downfall.

More than a bit gutted :(

Fortunately the existing body is serviceable and I'll get another new one after the festive season.

Lots more organising today, finally sorted my pre ‘82 Acoms & SRB electrics. Also found a load of additional manuals & original decals I’d forgotten about! Hopefully a lot of them will be getting used over Xmas 😊

also did organize some RC stuff today, as holidays are on the door, to make a liitle more room for other things. 4 cars I dont use currently are stashed away, with a bunch of spares and tires etc.

I left only the runners on the shelf.

so still 6 on the shelf :)

stashed away are my T1FK05 Xray, F103GT mini, DF02 (defect) and M05 Fiat 1000TCR

they either need work or electrics, nothing of that gonna happen these few weeks so let them sleep.

my runers are a M03, F103 and TA05 on my Sanwa MX-V TX, then a Lunchbox and a DT01 fighter buggy each with own TX, so I have basically FWD, RWD, 4WD, onroad -offroad 2wd coverd during holidays and until there is some hobby budget in again to finish unfinished projects.

also I forgot there is a Losi Micro burshless 1:24 short course truck for home bashing. :)

Built two Gingerbread houses,

Finished my BigWig RE_RE build and added a shelf in the display cabinet for it.

Started to mask up the Thundershot shell and realised I was doing it the wrong way round ( I think) head is boggled) so stopped with RC stuff and went into chef mode..

QUESTION:- for BigWig & Thundershot (both Blue and white) should I mask off blue and paint white first? OR other way round-- in which case ****** as I have most of the blue masked on the Thundershot when I thought should this not be the other way round.....dark colour first so it don't show through the white.

Now cooking a Turkey wrapped in thick cut bacon and stuffed with Oranges and Onion. Also a Leg of Ham joint is boiling in Full Fat COKE (after bringing to boil and draining of the most of the salt with water) with another onion. And last but my personal Fav,  Home made Sausage Meat Stuffing wrapped in thick cut bacon....

Will make tomorrow am a breeze.
