Well my Yaris WRC body arrived today. :) It was pre cut by the previous owner and a few small wrong holes cut here and there, but nothing much to worry about. Its a runner body anyways, so doesnt need to be perfect. Paint wasn't too complex just white and black, but the 100+ decals were a nightmare !! Turned out not bad, In added the white wheels and an actual wiper blade on the front screen, still got loads of small details to add etc. But so far so good, excuse the poor lighting pic, was taken at 1am in my kitchen !!

Ordered an ESC, receiver and pinions for the dual hunter. Now the waiting game begins. ^_^

And put my Leopard 1 A4 tank online for sale, to clear some space. I have big plans for it which means big time and money. And since there are enough projects and I don't see myself driving it..........

Finished off my k2!,  this was my club racer a few years ago when I was a member of a local club I decided to take it out of the plastic tub it's been sitting in since 2016 when I give up racing, I stripped it and renewed everything that looked old and used now it will retire in my cabinet with the XLS and topcat😊 although the topcat (weather permitting) will get used!

work has been crazy busy this year, so again ended up having no time at all this past week or even weekend to do any rc related activities. So to reward myself for lots of work, I bought a new Blackfoot 58633 to add to the collection :D

Pulled a cheap therapy truck from, um, my stockpile of cheap therapy trucks I guess, to undertake yet another heroic attempt at getting a grip on my severe case of Obsessive Compulsive Boxart Disorder.

Whatever happens, this won't come out boxart correct! Hopefully. And it won't be blue, either. Maybe.

(As you can see, I'm at a very early stage of getting over OCBD, not a lot of box, not a lot of art, but you've got to start somewhere.

Must... not... use... PS-1!

Went racing, had a great day at the first club meet of the year. This was an 8th meet and I ran my HB D817 v2 nitro which performed flawlessly. Its only my second 8th meet so I have a lomg way to go. Still, I qualifued ahead of an HB factory driver....who was running in a new engine and had issues...

Had a big win yesterday too. My son had a major breakthrough on our backyard track and did loads of laps without needing marshalling. He has his first club meet in 2 weeks time so I'm glad it appears to have clicked for him.

Got some track time in with my XB2, Falling in love with it as my carpet car. Rewired the battery terminals and motor wires. Got new tires and wheels for it. Almost had my YZ2 sold but the guy never called me :( so i fitted a new wing to it...lol

Also talked with @jonboy1 about a special project ;) and was gonna paint my beetle but it was way too cold here :(

Spent a very fun few hours getting project RR-03Ra off the ground. Converting a TRF201 tub and drive train into a 190mm width / 257mm wb rally car. Got the suspension somewhere near.

Intended to charge up the battery I bought for the first time and take out my newly rebuilt Grasshopper II and my daughter to the park for her debut RC experience, as she loves machines and it'll blow her mind. However, my girlfriend had planned to make a roast dinner* and by the time this was finished it was dark and too late for RC in the park. So the GH2 will have to wait for another week.

* This is absolutely not a complaint. It was a truly excellent lunch.

Bought another buggy (hanging head as this is getting out of hand!!!!!, as its the 5th since Christmas)

Today I bought a very tidy Lunchbox for display,

20190203_191724

last 3 weeks I have

picked up a Madcap with a very odd shell and wheels to turn into my Saint Dragon (also picked up red shocks on here for the conversion a TBG shell is on the way)

Madcap pristine shelf queen that I bought for WAY WAY more than I should have (but it did come with a set of Saint Dragon decals and almost un-used tires) This will be for display and let me use the Madcap I had bought & sorted out last year for display to be sold.

A Terra Scorcher that someone thought was a Fire Dragon (no body but has the white rims that are so hard to find) and I have a Terra body to add to it.

A Thundershot with a terrible body but rest in great nick that I can add a pucker body to.

I am currently biting my nails to see if I get another NIB re-re that I want to complete my series of 4WD from Boomerang to Fire Dragon. Ends in about an hour!!

This hobby is getting WAY more expensive with over half my collection breaking my £100 max a car...........

I said that once. It started with the XV-01T (well worth it for the build, still yet to run it), then 2x CR-01 (why two?!!!) and most recently an Agrios. I'm sure I told myself when I bought the XV-01T that I hadn't got room for it!!!

Good god we are all at blooming RC Annonymous!!!

Note - The HPI Jumpshot is cheap... compared to a Traxxas Stampede anyway!

Double Note - I just won a Bullhead on EBay... where the yikes am I going to hide that thing in the house... apparently it's big and into you see one in the flesh you can't comprehend it... I'all see my first ever one next week when 6 burly postmen deliver it!

Now I need to research how to replace a MSC with a twin motor ESC ;)

Good score! I had been looking at Clods and Bulkheads but never got one on my eBay bid limit. Just as well, I thought. Then the Agrios went on sale at Tamico... but I got approval first!

I used some black line tape to define the door edges and body panel lines on my TRX-4 Defender body.  Very fiddly but worth it in the end I think.

Thanks!  Yeah, I've tried markers, masking the panel lines and painting them, all sorts of methods, but I find this tape to be the neatest method.
