That’s my kind of fun. Love the driver, the stomp decal on the side and are those cc01 barrel springs? nice touches.

Stock blackfoot shocks and springs but with proper pistons and mounted lower on diy carbon fibre mounts and diy alloy shock tower. I lowered the front shocks so i could mount the body lower. Df03 front knuckles to swap to hex wheels, alloy rear hex adapters, rear arms mounted on bearings. It has the swappable spurs of the brat, adjustable motor mount and a screw through the diff. I could do with sorting the gearing as the motor can get a bit hot. It was my 'getting back into it' build after i sold off my previous collection 10 years ago. Might try it with rough rider wheels and a scorcher re re body set one day.

Edit, its also super dusty 😂

Put some shelves in the utility room as i realised i keep building cars but have nowhere to put them. Last space is for my grasshopper. As long as the other 3 NIB models stay unbuilt then im ok 😉

Breakfast-time damper building.

3 hole piston, standard oil, thick V spacer. Any guidance for dampers on the M04 would be handy!

EDIT: switched to the short ends so they fit the m chassis!

Today I discovered that my wife's nail clipping scissors are a little great tool for cutting out wheel arch curves on Lexen bodies ;)

Been there done that. I use it for lexan, e clips, cutting plasic of parts trees...

Seeing as the stars seemed to align - weather reasonable, me being off work and boys being off school - it was finally chance for my boys to have a go with the Super Hotshot and King Yellow that they got for Christmas.

Both cars ran well although it was only about 10 minutes before the SHS wing was wrecked. Although it came with a couple of splits in it so I didn't expect it to last forever.

There was a bit of disappointment that the King Yellow wasn't fast enough to jump.

So the shopping list is a repro SHS shell and wing, a 20 tooth pinion for the KY and maybe some brushless power for the KY.

I'm.not sure what level of power to go for though. I have a couple of 17.5T motors knocking around but not sure if that would be enough of an increase.

No, but I'll make one and put it in the Marui section. Maybe this weekend if time permits.

Dug up the original Big Bear tires from one of the many boxes of parts, to get a Marui big bear to pose with Frankenbear and Bullheadclodbear.

And made a start on the promised Frankenbear topic in the Marui Section. This weekend is nice weather, so hopefully Basherbear will also see some action!

(Yes, I have 4 variants of Big Bears... I'm a little silly that way.)

Painted a truck shell for my HPI Jumpshot and put the original wheels back on... I might look at painting the chrome wheels with black... or orange.... they are well protected inside those tyres I doubt they will ever get scratched to chow the chrome underneath.

Realized I'll be home alone for most of the weekend with zero plans or obligations.

Proceeded to put an unbuilt Egress next to my unbuilt Super Hotshot just to see what  the two would look like together.

Now all I need to do is accidentally mislay my phone.

Replaced the plastic bushings on the CC01. Still need bearings (1260 x 2 & 850 x 8). Modified the rear suspension. Need to work on the front suspension to fit the dampers.

I am thinking to play a little bit with FPV and rc cars. I think it will give a good advantage in speed runs, as I could see where I am driving while at long distance. :)

this week all necessary arrived, it works, this FPV reciever R051 isnt the best, very bad frame rate, at least it is the cheapest way to FPV. Including battery 30€ all.

I have a monitor and much better reciever at least.

And just wathed this, and been thinking, how would it be to make a remake with the M03 and M02

That was actually pretty exciting.  I was thinking, "no, you can't damage those beautiful cars!"  Then again, if I were those cars, I want to live on the motorways.  Race away!  That reminds me, I should paint my Alfa Romeo...

Got up early to quickly switch chassis tubs on the Boomerang before breakfast...

Trouble is, long before I cracked the tub, I ran this Boomerang on very wet clay with a high lime content, which apparently is good for corn farming, but tends to dry into a rock solid, mildly corrosive sludge that you simply cannot wash off, even after soaking it with water.

I have no idea why, ask your local farmer if you need to know, but it's been bothering me ever since. I just couldn't get the Boomerang completely clean again, ever. I even considered hot tanking or pressure washing the poor thing.

So in the middle of my quick before-breakfast tub swap, I decided it was now or never. One complete teardown & rebuild and lots of hot water, assorted chemicals and lots of scrubbing later Boomerang is finally clean again.

Not what I had planned, but I'm finally at peace with it again.

Got defeated by a Bullhead ( repair)

Tried to replace the broken trailing arm on my Bullhead and couldn't figure out how to do it... a Big E clip, a C hub and not being able to work out what's what certainly put me back in my place... back to the back of the queue when it comes to being an RC genius :(

Photis and a plea for help in due course by right now my little one is ill so I'm on other duty ;)

Lime, moisture and aggregate (the clay), you have basically made mortar. Brick acid would probably have got it off easy and probably wouldnt harm the plastic, but it makes steel rust.

Wow, I didn't think of it that way, but that makes sense!

Yeah, all fun and games untill it dries/sets/cures!

Easy to wash off when still wet though.
