Can it be real?????? That wonders such as these really exist?????????? A place of dreams and make believe come true??????????????? Mine eyes have not gazed upon such things............

(at least for the last four months, everything is wet and slimy, currently sat waiting for the river at the end of my road to burst its banks which looks like it will if it rains again on monday night)

In Australia, we can see this bright yellow ball in the sky most of the year. It makes us warm, and means we spend more time outside, often at this thing we call a "beach" that has "sand."

Thanks

Standard apart from a wee bit of lowering and poly bushed

Sensible mods! Poly bushed would just make it a lot smoother on the road I dare say? I had a mk1 escort rs turbo (c reg) I absolutely loved that car but I had to sell it to go towards the deposit for my first house:( we were just left with my wife's vauxhall astra GTE (the one with the annoying digital dash which when the sun shone on it you couldn't see nothing) fast car but OMG was it unreliable didn't go a month without something failing on it:angry:

My wife just got a nice old cabinet from her granny, which ended up in our livingroom. I was kindly given access to two of its four shelves, well guess what I've decided to display in them.

I find the buggys, the cabinet itself and whatever else is in there so odd together that they almost don't even clash anymore. Or if they do, I won't let it intimidate me anyway :P

Sure thing, our livingroom looks much nicer now.

Finished work for Christmas and the weather is dry and not too cold, so i just ran my TT02 and FF03 for nearly an hour in the street. They are both handling really nicely, and it was lovely running them both for a good long while. The new tamiya pinion for the FF03 is really smooth. Nice evening.

This afternoon my nephew and I did a spot of rallying, taking turns setting up "stages" and then timing each other around them. It worked really well, and I was impressed with his driving. He has come a long way on the last two years, from a menace on the track to a serious junior competitor.

He was driving his TL-01 rally car (left), recently restored from two wrecks that he bought from the Unit 21 clearance sale. I was driving one of my TT-01s (right) modded for rally use.

The two cars were pretty well-matched and the result was close - of the 7 stages that we raced, he won 3 and I won 4, with less than 20 seconds separating our total times at the end of the afternoon.

@TurnipJF sounds great! How did you set up the stages? And where did you go? Woods? Fields? Garden?

We marked out the stages using those small rubber cones typically used for football training exercises. We used my brother- and sister-in-law's garden and driveway to give a mix of terrain types. (They live out of town and have a fair-sized property.)

Bought a couple of Hobbywing 1060 ESCs. Its funny how an auction was for a pair of them, same as the 2 Super Stock motors. Its fate right? Although I've never been able to pass up a 2 for1 type offer.

The Fox should fly with a Super Stock in it right?

Have you done a build thread on this?

I really like the look of that!

I sadly did not, i should have but I am so sporadic i tend to forget to take pictures. I can tell you it is one of the nicest kits i have put together. A bit fiddly in the front suspension but over all well made.
Here is where i am at currently:

Got just warm enough for a little run time. Awhile back I was debating about getting a new Blackfoot or replacing the old, crumbling plastics with new. I salvaged the old one but made it a Monster Beetle in the process as its probably my favorite Tamiya. For once, I didn't paint the body, just waxed it to give it shine. I feel more relaxed not fretting about scratched paint, lol.

Considering I'm driving and shooting at the same time, I'm happy with the jump shot. The last shot's a little blurry, but I really like the amount of hustle it exudes. The ol' MB seems to be really booking through those leaves.

With only a few precious hours before going back to work tomorrow, it was a toss up between prepping the MB body as I’ve now decided on and bought the paint for, or start the WO?

As it’s blowing a gale outside I went for option 2 and made a start on the WO.
