garry 1 Posted August 21, 2007 PS-53 Lame Spray - 100ml Spray Can Gold Flakes Spotted this on Tamiya USA a while back, but just seen it in stock at Modelsport, so I've ordered a can (and a can of black paint too). Anyone got any photos of a body done with PS53?

WillyChang 1814 Posted August 21, 2007 "Lame spray" ?? ! "Lam'e" with the accented E. Rainbow sparkles suspended in clear lacquer. Think 1970s bowling ball. Works well although you do need to apply it quite thickly - 1 can won't do more than 2 sedan shells. You don't necessarily have to back with PS5 Black, i have backed with gunmetal and other colours. Works better with darker colours but. The particulates are quite chunky so don't back it with anything that needs a mirror smooth surface like chrome or any of the Anodised Aluminium colours. It will end up looking like moon craters.
monster_beetle 2 Posted August 21, 2007 My top force is painted with it: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...97&id=13706 On this pictures you only see it a bit when you look at the big pictures. But in sunlight it's awesome
Fatal_Error 1 Posted August 21, 2007 I have a car in my showroom which is painted with one of tamiyas simlar paint. (PS 49, sky aluminum) When you spray it, its like painting with dust and from the underside you are unsure how well its working. stick with it, as it builds the best finish. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...72&sid=6443
