Looks really cool but I doubt its somthing Tamiya have made. I think its more likely a custom frog somone else has made. But on the other hand if it is Tamiya Im sooo buying one.

RC World?

Frog is a home job, same guy just did a Inboard Suspension for the Hotshot too.

Love how he does it all whilst keeping a stock look - he even puts a dummy front monoshock on the Hotshot.

I also have a copy of the magazine. As has been pointed out, it's not a Tamiya creation, but a home-made custom conversion.

Looks awesome too :)

All the hallmarks of a Grahoo special there.

Built to professional standards as usual while keeping it looking as stock as possible.

It looks very nice but it not Grahoo. this is a competeing magazine with the one Grahoo writes for. Grahoo`s Hot Shot will be in the next RC World.

sweet conversion :(

Very well executed piece of engineering, if that was a tamiya new release I would start saving now :o

NO WAY!!!

SERIOUSLY talented engineer modlers we have in our hobby!!!

Pwoar!

Wish more of us had access to tools to help try things out like this.

And those front hubs!!! just genius! Thanks for sharing. JP is a wonder factory.

What I'd give to turn up at the next race with that!! :(

You have the talent to do something like this, You are all ready thinking outside of the box with your Dyna Storm :o As far as the tools go Grahoo doesnt really have that many tools. the most expensive thing he has is a table mounted coping saw. Just some encouragement for my Vintage racing buddy.

Got to be influenced by him though, the Frog looks just like the next stage on from Grahoos TA04 Grasshopper.

The best custom rc buggy ever made? Possibly! Thats just awsome. So much inovation and thought has gone into every part of that car. whoever designed it needs to go into production of them, i just want to drive it!

Check out the frog shaped carbon battery stay too - thats inspired!

Grahoo didnt know this guy untill now,but he likes it alot and im shure he will get in touch with him.

I have allways wondered when you might do something like this. :( You have the skills im shure.

:( That Frog is just absolutely stunning. That to me is the route Tamiya should be going down. Re-release the oldies with modern technology yet keeping them looking almost identical to the originals. Realism allied with 21st century technology. :o

That website link answered the one big question I had, where on earth was the steering servo. :(:(

I don't attempt anything like this as I have too many unfinished projects as it is and a 4wd conversion would never get completed, even though I have started on projects in the past. I usually run out time or money. :o

Hello all.

Thank you but sure this Frog is not mine, it's an other person's work as Bakaguyjean-san said.

Suddenly I saw this frog's cool pics at rc shop and of course soon I got that magazine.

I was really shocked by this surprise attack :( !! because when I was stopping my Hotshot project for Tamiya Grand-prix All Japan Championships.

In fact, my charge-editor of RC-world asked me that they want to show my hotshot on their September issue.

but it was postponed to October issue for my circumstances.

I had to handle many schedules, so I had to make my Hotshot in only 2 weeks. so I was working until 3 a.m. every day.

and my Hotshot's detail contained my greeting to the man who built the Frog 4WD, because I felt that our spirits are similar.

After a while, I had contact to the man = Mr. PMMC. and we praised each other. now, we are friends. I wish he join the Tamiyaclub, too. B)

Thank you!
