Just had my Rv15 ESC catch fire in my car! Smoke was pouring from it and a small flame also! I feel sick from the fumes as well.

All was well, playing with the car in the street, I then stopped. All of a sudden whoosh! smoke pouring from it!

And I am only running a stock demon motor in there as well!

M.troniks seem to be getting quite alot of bad stories appearing on this Forum. Especially with people running far from their limits.

I seem to having similar problems, but for me its with battery packs. Nothing like a little noxious smoke to cheer up for day is there. Worse is the chassis or body melt

Oh ******.......thats the ESC I was gonna get to replace my burnt out EVO20.........may have to rethink that now.......

Its only the ESC's getting the bad press right? I run a Mtronicks motor in my Falcon and I really really dont want it to catch fire

Received a brand new RV15 in the post this morning! Only posted it back to Mtroniks on wed too. They even returned the corally connectors from the old one!

i will share my story again...to cut it short....

RV15 running BZ motor (23T) in my DF03........

KABOOM!!!!!!

melted my receiver that was mounted next to it, chassis and battery plate!

now using futaba330cr and still with the BZ, run run run run! fantastic!

Received a brand new RV15 in the post this morning! Only posted it back to Mtroniks on wed too. They even returned the corally connectors from the old one!

Their service dept seems to be very good, although they do seem to have plenty of work which is slightly less encouraging

I find it odd to hear how much problems people seem to be having, I have loads of mtroniks esc's including in Erica's and my race cars and despite the hammering i give em I havent had any problems in a long while.

I run 2 rv15's in my Twin Detonator with 19 turn motors (no issues), Erica runs an rv15 in her Twin Detonator with 2 silver cans (no issues) along with that I have many eco27's, eco20's, tourer esc, sprint interactive, tempo15 I couldnt recommend them more highly for their price, they are fully waterproof and I have to say their service is outstanding, you send that esc in with a letter of what happened and you will receive one in return very quickly. R6stu most esc manufacturers will void the warrenty if you change plugs on an esc (if they come fitted) just another example of mtroniks trust.

Most of my cars also have MT ESC in them. This is the 1st one that I have ever had an issue with in the last 8 years or so of using them!
