Wild One would be great. I have it on good authority however, that the next breaking re-release is going to be the Bush Devil ! Back in all its pink glory ! .

Is that true! Bush Devil is clearly underrated and aside from the shell that allways seems to break behind the cab, its one tough mama...Ive been saying this since just about every rerelease now, but this im going to buy.

I think it's pretty obvious what the next re-re is gonna be. I mean they already did the Tamtec version....

Methinks too many unique parts on the Fox to make it viable - but I could be wrong !

I'm still voting for the Sand Rover and Holiday Buggy as they are simple cheap kits to produce, nostalgic and a great intro to R/C for mewcomers to the hobby or the older hobbyist getting back into R/C.

At least we'd then have a plentiful supply of SRB front bumpers at sensible prices :-)

What about the Blitzer Beetle? How long has that been out of production? Surely a contender?

I would probably buy one.

I would buy a chrome re-release, maybe..

I would go for a upgraded hopped up chrome re-release..

I think if they can re-release the Hotshot, it'd be no problem at all to re-release the Fox. If they were to re-release the Fox though, what improvements could they make?

* ESC instead of MSC (obvious)

* Include the front stabilizer in the kit

* Upgraded rear dogbone driveshafts/axles

And that'd be about all you'd need to do.

The main problem with the Fox is access to the internals - the receiver is in a pod behind the battery, and the speed controller is amidship next to the slot in the chassis where the battery/motor/antenna wires come out. Would need to do some clever re-arranging to add a useful access hatch in front of the driver.

Another issue is that the Fox requires rather long motor wires from the ESC, since the motor is slung right out the back, away from where the motor wires exit the chassis.

I think is would be a simple kit nothing expensive since the new F350 was just released recently. There is only so much money most people can afford to spend on RC within a certain period.

I would personally like to see the "dune buggy" (can remember the correct name) be re-release, which should fit the above requirements. Simple to manufacturer and I think the inventor of the dune buggy in the States is thinking of a come back and what better ways to get the story out free of charge and getting some royality payment in return.

Cheers

Right now I'm really hoping to see a Fox re-re - I really enjoyed building my HotShot re-re and would love to see a 2wd from the same era. The Fox was basically a 2wd buggy in the same style as the HotShot and they would look awesome together on the shelf.

However, Tamiya's "coming soon" items include a whole host of entirely new stuff for us to play with - DB01, DT02MS, for example - as well as the new Hi-Lux and the gold Lunchbox, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't see any new re-releases for a little while. I think the current selection of new stuff is enough to keep me occupied for the time being.

If they don't re-re the Fox in the next few months then I'll be very interested to see what they do come up with. I don't think the Astute would be a good commercial move (particularly if it's a Super Astute or includes many modern updates or hop-ups as standard) as it will be competing directly with their new DT02MS. The Super Astute was a competitive car in its day and since the Dyna Storm that followed, Tamiya haven't released a competitive 2wd racing buggy.

I think many people would go mad over a Wild One but not sure how likely it is to come out of Tamiya's factories again soon...

Would this be the DT02MS..? It looks like it's going to be a good hi-tech 2wd racer perhaps in the same league as the DB01 - or is the new DS going to be a league above, i.e. on a par with the 501X ?

RE-RE TamTech Trucks (Iknow you can still get 1/14th!) but how cool would a fleet of 1/20th scale big-rigs be?!

Personally I think it sucks that all of Tamiya's main lines are in different scales. 1/10 cars, 1/14 trucks, 1/16 tanks... I mean, how cool would it be to have a 1/16 tank on the back of a 1/16 truck with low-loader? Or to load your 1/10 tarmac cars into 1/10 trailers on 1/10 tractor trucks? I know Tamiya scale isn't always perfect but I'm a bit picky about things on the shelf not looking scale against each other...

I know what you mean. That's why most of my bodyshells and fast electric hulls are white- They look cool all on the shelf!

SDGator, I stand with you on this one. I wonder when they will decide to go brushless? The Blitzer would be a good one to launch it with.

A Brushless Blitzer Beetle would certainly rule!! Put me down forn one BBB!

A TRF Dyna Storm?? Since we have the 4WD 501X, the next step is a real competitive 2WD racer which Tamiya has never made. The only competition is Team AE, Team Losi and recently Kyosho, a 3 horse race.. Tamiya could build a TRF, MS or R version of the 2WD buggy with a new tranny and R&D. Then, like Kyosho with the RB5 you can build a truck which I here Kyosho is doing..

Just a thought (dream!) TAMIYA RE-RELAESE A 2WD DYNA BEAST and call it the 201X???!!! Sorry for the off thread post.
