Did the old Blitz Supra have rear light cups?

Or did Tamiya just make some new ones for the 58392!? yay

The new Supra dosent have rear light buckets :D It only comes with front ones that need to be modified to use. Kind of a dissapointing body for LEDS but im pretty shure it is the same body as the Blitz.

i was looking forward to this body,as i thought i might do the LED thing, but when we got them at the shop the light buckets were the first thing i went for,and was a little dissapointed. So now im thinking i might go with the Z4 as it looks really nice.

nah Z4 is f-ugly!

Wonder if Tamiya still supplies both red & white LEDs in the lightkit supplied with the Supra TT01D.

There isnt a light kit in the Supra. You just get a drift spec chassis same as the old Impreza. The Drift spec Mazda Rx-7 comes with LEDS and is priced higher. I know the Tamiya English website says the Supra has "always on LEDS" but its wrong.

you're spot on

Tamiya should fire their proofreader... hey, maybe you should apply!! :)

Took some time to inspect the Supra shell... yep its lightcups are pants.

There's no rear ones; i saw some extra round bits but i think they're

just the screw backing for the wing or something? Same as 1994.

Worse still... the sprue is in grey plastic - NOT CHROMED!! arrrgh

The only thing changed on the shell is that its got 6 post-location dimples now - 2pr on the bonnet.

You can get the Yokomo Supra light buckets as they should fit. It is something that you want to look at if you get a chance. The Yokomo light buckets are pretty cheap some where around $6.00 and are chrome. It a little strange but Yokomo is passing up Tamiya in the scale business. They just have those Dirft paint jobs that are love it or hate it. But even those bodies are of real cars.

The Supra is a nice body but it would have been nice to have the mordern light buckets. I am hoping Tamiya makes all the car from now on with light buckets even if you dont use them they look pretty cool.
