During a recent spray paint purchase, on a whim, I decided to buy these two Tamiya lubricants. Unfortunately, there are only Japanese instructions so I can't really understand the purpose of each spray. I would really appreciate it if one of the Japanese members could translate the writing on the cans. Also, can someone speculate why the lubricant spray comes in such a small can?

Gosh, I haven't seen that brown top can in a long time!

Brings back lots of memories of my old tool box!

I thought it was discontinued and the new small one (which was all I could find in stores) is the replacement.

But that is just my own speculation - I don't know.

Ok this is quoted directly from the Tamiya RC Guide book of '89

Bad Grammar and All

Tamiya Spray Oil in an oil which utilizes a molecular chemical formulated compound, in the U.S.A which has proved effective as a long lasting lubricant.

As it has strong permeability, spraying on bearings, within gearboxes, moving shafts and suspension parts, providing a smoother and less friction operation of all moving parts.

It will also displace moisture and ensure longer rust free operation than normal penetrating lubricants.

After your cars have been running in the rain or through puddles, spray Tamiya Spray Oil onto the chassis or other metal surfaces.

This will penetrate between the water and the metal surface to form a layer which helps to dry up the surface and also prevents the metal from rusting.

Hope that clears things up a little
