Hmm has anyone else suffered a problem with the spur gear on a tt01 just had a second spur be chewed. Not the teeth but where the drive pin locates it seems to spin and chew off the 4 locating nubs. Has anyone had this? know why it does it, and know of a solution.

Oh and if you have a 61 tooth spur for a TT01 spare please let me know

I have been racing a TT01 at my local club and the car has been excellent ( beating X-Rays etc) with no issues with the gears.

When building the car you have remembered to use the spur gear stopper (GB2) as this 'locks' the drive pin. Apparently it also got to go on a certain direction according to the instruction.

yeh the stopper has been used, and on the right way round. It happened once before I bought it and last night.

The annoying thing is that with only mild hopups (still using gear diffs, ball diffs on route) it is really competitive, and i was enjoying running it, first run I managed to be 3rd overall (out of 18 cars) quite a success really.

What I have noticed is that on both the TT01 and DF02 the spur gear is somewhat warped, so when it rotates it looks like a bent bicycle wheel with throw on it.

If put one together this weekend it just drives fine to me.

Only if im driving backwards and i suddely hit the gas to go forward you hear the cog wheels make a sound like there grinding over eachother.

anyone can help me with this problem???

Found that the problem with mine was that the ring that slips over the gear shaft was not a tight fit, now replaced it works fine. With yours i would just check that the all screws are tight on the casings over the spur as the casings hold the gears in place. May just have slight movement which causes this.

But to be honest I wouldnt recommend that manouver anyhows as it does put a huge strain on the drivetrain.
