Do UK clubs have hold events for off road Monster Truck racing? Also, are there any Tamiya Trucks that would be suitable for this?

Thanks

It would be great fun to race the TXT-1. Not many people do it though I don't think. Getting enough people together who actually own a TXT would probably be hard enough.

Too many people that don't know what they are missing, eh ? I've regretted the sale of my TXT-1 ever since and now have a second to build & it's going to be super special !

Electric or Nitro?

Would be a hoot to watch!

I see alot of Nitro truck racing where I live, the 1:8 trucks are a real HOOT!! There are a few guys racing the Nitrage and TNX's. I will probably get one of the 5.2R trucks myself in time.. I also would love to do a brushless TXT-1!

What are you going to do to make it SUPER SPECIAL backtomyroots? I never had a TXT-1, but I know the potential for bashing/racing is unmatched out of the box!

There already is a national race series for nitro trucks in the UK, http://www.maxbashing.com is probably the best place to start. The best Tamiya truck to race would be the Nitrage 5.2.

Some clubs do race electric, but the TXT-1 won't be competitive against an E-Savage or E-maxx.

Well, not too special but follow the build here if you like:

txt build thread

I've also owned an E-Maxx & comparing the txt-1 to that is comparing apples & oranges. If you want a racing machine get the e-maxx. Want a scale Monster Truck that is fun, durable but yet capable of speed & crawling ? Get the txt-1. (Speed = money though).

I think the general rule is that if it ain't got indy suspention out the box then they dont get raced. trucks with axles tend not to perform anyhwer enear as good as indy suspentioned trucks. I think some clubs race then on 'fun races' but I dont know of anyone that races them competitivley.

That's a shame. I was hoping that there might be a 1/10 Electric Monster Truck event somewhere. Oh well, might just have to get one anyway for 'fun' :(

Exactly ! Remember - the items you are first "drawn" to - or your "gut instinct" are the ones you should choose :( .

Your TXT-1 your going to build sounds NICE!!! Thanks for the advice between the E-Maxx and TXT-1. I think for myself the TXT-1 would be more fun considering the fact that No LHS/ nor track will hold Electric Monster Truck races.. I have seen the Hot Bodies Monster (Lightening?) at my LHS track, and it looks great on an Off-road track..
