Need cheap replacement body for Avante 2001....

For bashing and making videos, I'll need a cheap lexan buggy shell that'll fit the Avante 2001. Can anyone recommend a shell with as much room inside as the original 2001 ?... I think your gonna struggle to get anything cheaper that fits the chassis.

I thought Kamtec only did the original Avante, the 2001 was longer.

That could be an issue - Thanks for the heads up on that one.. Got a couple of pictures from Kamtec and it looks like it'll provide. I'll see if I can get Kamtec to measure the overall length of the body..

Have you considered trying a "boxy" modern buggy/undertray combo? Something like a Schumacher Cat 3000 shell may do the job - it won't be a snug fit, but it should be OK as a camera mount.

Also you can wait for a reply from Kamtec for a long long time............., I'm waiting for a reply to a query about repro frog body shells, after 1 month still no reply

I've found an Associated B2 shell which sells for US$ 12.99 from Tower Hobbies.. Looks like it may work...

And the shell won't be acting as camera mount - The camera will go inside the shell, which is why I can't use my orange body..
