I had been out of the hobby for about 10 years, decided to sell off some stuff and I sold this: Built RC10 Worlds Car, never ran and airbrushed to match the world champ's car (I forget his name, he also ran a Yokomo that year in the 4wd class) also had box, manual and several spare parts. Anyway, I really wasn't sure of the true value, but didn't think it was much. It brought about $350 on eBay this past January. Was that fair? I thought it was high at the time, but I am just starting to realize what nice vintage kits are bringing.

Of course, I'm full tilt back into the hobby. Figures :D

I think you got a real good price out of it. Collector interest of rc10's is starting to take off due in part to buggy specific sites like RC10TALK.com. Given a few more years, you may have gotten a bit more out of it.

That was Masami who won the worlds in both 2WD and 4WD, I could be wrong? It sounds like a great deal for both sides. It seems obvious the buyer knew what it was worth and a few others did too!

I have seen a '89 NIB Losi jrx-pro SE go for over $450! The two Team American buggies have winning Pedigree unlike any other maker, that equals added value!!

Hahaha... Funny answer !!!

Just a last word : I have a "little experience" (25 years) of buying and selling parts & cars and when I read a post like this, I understand (although it's not my mother's language) the question about the price. The true question is : really already sold or just a question about the possible selling price ? Understand, now ?

Next time, too, it would be great to start by "hello" and ending by "regards"... It's my education, not yours ?

Regards,

Jerome

While watching the popularity of the RC10 spike over the last two years, I doubt $350 would be a valid selling price now. Eventhough the original gold tubs are the most sought after, special editions of the black tub can command a premium.
