As a new person to the Tamiya craze i have always wanted to know what people think is the best offroad model you can get, now and then so to speak! so i have created a poll to see what people think!

If i have missed your favourite out then please add it to a new post!

yeh i should have said, the car names are generalized like the avante etc as obviously some hold more than 1 model!

What about the High-Lift and XC's (Pajero, Isuzu Mu etc) <_<

I would agree with you on that point, I have an F350 of which is an excellent off-roader.

I guess it depends how you define off-roading. I like the DF-03 as a buggy but hate the ball diff's although myself i havent had many issues myself, i have seen a few people with constant issues (like the thrust bearing for the diff).

I have to agree the thundershot chassis was a good one too.

I voted Grasshopper because it's the one I got the most "mileage" out of back in the day, and I'm having a blast with my re-release.

But I have to say, and I know it's blasphemy around here, that my all-time favorite off-road car was a black-tub RC10 Team car. It didn't have the styling of the Tamiya models, but it would run rings around them and was utterly reliable. I replaced it with a B3 that wasn't half as good.

Its a shame it will only allow you to post 20 options really <_< as i know people will want to choose other models which aren't on there!

I agree, there are lots of different kinds of off-roading, the kind I am refering to is "scale-driving", as seen here in Lonbhold's showroom; http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...59&id=13352
