Hello,

I'm running out of ideas on this -

I have a Terra Scorcher for which I need to replace the wheels & tyres (do not have to be Tamiya). I have hexes to replace the original drives, so hex wheels sought.

I have a Dirt Thrasher which needs new tyres.

I have tried a number of shops and met with staggering indifference (Modelzone, Eastbourne, Sussex Model Centre, Worthing, Mr Models, Ferndown & one in Bournemouth), as well as a couple of duff purchases on ebay or other inline shops (pick a 1 1/0th scale , any one you like....). I looked at CML online, but sizes seem to be a detail not clear to me or not worth divulging

These things must be consumables - where do you TamiyaClub regulars get yours?

I'm looking for knobbly off-road tyres - any brand as these are cars for my nippers and see a lot of action.

Any advice gratefully received.

Many thanks

Jono

None of those shops are off road specialists, I'm not surprised you didn't find anything there. Try somewhere that actually sells off road, such as Modelsport Apex Models DC Racing

The sizes aren't listed as apart from Tamiya every other buggy uses a standard 2.2" wheel size and tyres.

For wheels get a set of either the Tamiya Dark Impact/Keen Hawk wheels, Lazer ZX5 wheels or Academy SB4 wheels then you can use any standard off road tyres you want from Schumacher, Hot Bodies, Ballistic Buggy, Losi and Proline, including more longer lasting treaded tyres like the Proline Dirt hawg rear and Dirt Hawg fronts
