Guys i need a little help from you, i have 2 Tamiya Nissan Skyline R33 body shells that came with TA-02 chassis but at the minute i only have 1 new built TA-02 chassis so....... lol i was wanting to know if some of the more modern chassis that Tamiya make have the same body post positions as the TA-02 (i don't like to cut and shut things to fit if you know what i mean) say something like the TT-01 for example as they seem to be cheap and easy to find that way i could buy the cheap TT-01 kit and then offer the shell up for sale to claw back some of the costs well thats the plan :) as i don't have any other Tamiya on-road chassis at the minute that i can try the shells on to see if things line up, so if anyone has a similar shell to the skyline with the same layout of body post holes if they could try it on a some other models of chassis and let me know if the fit OK

Thanks

I have just bought a Calsonic Skyline bodyset (R32) which first apeared on kit # 58099 as the Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo. It says on the box that it fits the TA02, TA03F, TA03R, TL01, TB01, TT01 and TG10. I have tried it on my TA01, TA02 and TA03F and the mounts are in identical positions. My TA03F chassis is currently wearing a Schnitzer BMW M3 body off a TT01 chassis (I don't have a TT01). My guess would be that Tamiya has made all the body mounts of the standard touring cars in the same relative positions.

TT01 comes with 2 sets of rear bodyposts, using either one of them will suit

just about all of Tamiya's standard-length touring shells.

You could put bosyposts on TT01's bumper bit too... that'll suit any shell where

the front holes are at the further-forward position (usually only racers use them).

Where the bonnet holes are in classic position over the front axle, you could even use

a TA03 which also has 2 different rear bodyposts available (they came out with TA03R).
