As can be seen in my showroom I recently got a Celica GT4 painted with silver TS paint. On most areas the paint just falls right of. However I want to paint the body white so all the paint should be gone because the smallest piece of silver could ruin it. Also some parts of the body can't be bend easily (like the hood)..

I know the TS paint disappears after applying oven cleaner, but I'm afraid the lexan will disappear too.

Does anybody have an idea to get all the TS paint of? Thanks in advance, all help is welcome

There are others out there but I have found that Nitro fuel does a good job of stripping lexan bodies without damaging the lexan. Whatever you do, don't use oven cleaner because the heavy duty oven cleaner I used one time made the lexan break into a hundreds of pieces.

Thanks! I was wondering, because the TS paint isn't attached to the lexan very well would it work to heat it with a hairdyer or something?

Definitely try the nitro fuel first. Heating the lexan could cause it to warp. I recently stripped an Avante body using nitro fuel, just by brushing it on. I was given the fuel for free by the nice people at my local hobby shop when I told them what I wanted it for (it was not suitable for running in motors as it had somehow got moisture in it).

Thank you, I'll give it a try. Nice of your LHS to give you the nitro for free!

EDIT:

It worked, really awesome! I've written a small how to guide, see: here
