Well, I love the Tamiya TXT-1 and am now building my 3rd. This one is going to be different than the last two. Here's the pile of "start up" goodies. Not pictured are the G-Made Tires/Wheels, Spektrum Radio & Clodbuster Bodyset (In The Mail). Suggestions/comments always welcome.

Follow the build here:

Nice! You are gonna start now with your TXT-1. I'll check up on that link from time to time. I know this will be a "project" truck, but why not go for the original blue ano'd chassis of Tamiya for the TXT? It will compliment all the nice, shiny, blue parts.

it would look good but l'm going for the opposite. black complimented by small highlights of blue :).

:D That blue and black flame job works very well with the carbon and aluminum bits! In other words: GORGEOUS!

Also, how much weight did it seem to lose? dramatic night and day difference?

(btw how do I join the SIG group? do I need to be a paid subscriber? )

It really does look cool!!!

The blue alloy and black carbon are a prefect combination and the shell just finishes it nicely

I've got the xtreme racing chassis plates on my shelf queen too, the plates are a little lighter, but don't make a huge difference to the overall weight of the assembled truck, where most weight is in the batteries, tyres and axles.

You do because you need to have a showroom to enter into it

Great work Chris - it looks amazing. Are you going to run it or is it for the shelf?

It's for the shelf. I know, shame it won't be driven - maybe someday though  .

Thanks for all the compliments fellas. As soon as I can get a sunny day I'll take some nice posed outdoor shots.
