Hi guys and girls

Have got myself a mtroniks viper rv max ESC to run my 10T motor. The user guide for the ESC says i need to fit 10uF capacitors from the -ve terminal to the can, and from the +ve terminal to the can. I understand this prevents feedback and interference to the ESC, but are there any other reasons? Must they be fitted? I have had a look about on maplins for some, but am confused by what I should be buying!!!

If someone could look through this list and show me what i need I would appreciate it :)

Thanks in advance

Hi Rich

The reason for the capacitors is to reduce radio interference from the sparking in the motor, which makes the radio glitch and you to lose control of the car. What motor do you have fitted, as most motors come with capacitors already built in to them.

Those capacitors are all 10uf, you only need 0.1uf (also known as 100pf) capacitors and the ones you want are here http://www.maplin.co.uk/search.aspx?MenuNo...=y&doy=4m11 The resin dipped 100pf ones have the more durable case.
