For the rule "The picture MUST be taken INDOORS"...

Is it ok to take a picture through the window? :P

Here we go again.. :P

Yes, it is technically in the rules but remember most peoples interpretation of the rules is what counts so if the car is outside no one will vote for it. :P

Grtz Dee.

Tell you what Dee.... if you, and the other members of your ilk (who just HAVE to get down to technicalities) consider NOT being a pain in the donkey JUST ONCE, we'll have a great competition.

WE all see the rules.

WE all would like to win.

SOME of us would just like to see a competition that didn't turn into a dung-throwing contest.

Much as I love hurling dung.....

Alex

P.S. Was that a little harsh? Sorry.... well, not really....

Come on lads - lets not let this go any further. I am sure Dee was just making a joke based on past competitions. No harm intended or done.

With only a couple of weeks to go and with currently a very low response for such a fantastic prize, can we have a little more clarification on the rules?

1) Does the term "car" in the first line mean just cars or does it apply to trucks, lorries, vans, jeeps and buggies etc? as the second line states "a radio control model".

2) Is it limited to Tamiya only or other manufacturers, complete, or just a different body etc?

Mud.

I woudn't worry about the lack on entries so far, I've noticed a trend with the comps that people are starting to hold back their entries until the last minute, I guess to stop people 'being inspired' by them for their own pictures ;)

Rc Model/Car includes trucks, lorries, vans, jeeps and buggies etc. Any scale, any make, as long as its RC.

If you want to submit a still from a video - that is also fine.

Cheers

Chris

Hmmm...

Jump the car over the baby? :) Don't think the wife would allow that...

Will have to think hard on this one

Steve

p.s. Chris, sent you a PM via the forums the other day... The link on the homepage saying "this page!" is missing the .asp from the hyperlink so it fails. THe one from the picture works fine

END DATE DELAYED

Chris is away at the moment and won't make it back for the 'End of November' deadline.

The competition will now close on Dec 2nd

Any entrants where the entries which do not fully comply with the rules will be advised and given one extra day to correct the problem.

Have another quick look at the rules if you're not sure;

What are the rules?

  • You need to enter a car into the competition before the 2nd December
  • The picture need to show a radio control model jumping (or crashing) with ALL its wheels off the floor - The picture MUST be taken INDOORS
  • The model must not be suspended from anything or balanced on anything (including its roof)
  • Using editing packages to make the model look like its somewhere its not, or alter its postion in anyway are not allowed.
  • You can only enter once. - Your showroom entry must only feature one photograph. - Your photo may feature more than one car, as long as one of them is clearly off the ground.
  • All entries must be in by 2nd December
  • To win, you must also vote by 14th December

If you know of any entries that may not comply, it might be worth letting the entrant know, just so they can address the issue in good time.

(t'is the season of good will ya know :D )

Dam its today I see it, If I had looked here earlier I might have been able to borrow a Mates camera and a large room to jump the car in as 15t needs a fair bit of landing room
