nope, they are too short

Hi Jim , thats strange,I have 2 hilux / Blazer sets and a set of Bruiser ones , and the rear prop of the Hilux is longer than the rear prop from the Bruiser? . here is a pic - the 2 top shafts are from my Hilux / Blazers and the bottom one is from my Bruiser all props are fully compressed to their shortest lengths for comparison .The Bruiser one is a lot shorter.I asked the question because i wondered if the Hilux shaft would be too long - now i'm confused :)

Thanks Thomas .That clears it up. By the way - would you have a good Bruiser rear prop shaft for sale? :)

Can someone please tell me the lengths of the Bruiser / Mountaineer prop'shafts (front and rear)?

I'm trying to figure out whether I have Hilux / Blazer ones or Bruiser / Mounty ones?

Mine are ;-

Front = 76.9mm compressed

84.3mm extended

Rear = 134.9mm compressed

142.8mm extended

Help would be great

Cheers,

Alistair G.

checked out my spares boxes and from my Mounty / Bruiser box I have these sizes :-

rear shaft = 102 compressed

110 extended

pretty sure all front shafts are the same ,but mine measures :-

52 comp

60 ext

from my Hilux / Blazer box :-

rear :- 110 comp

118 ext

I would assume you have measured yours with the other UJ's attatched this would account for the differences to mine ,If you take the UJ's off yours then check against my sizes that should give you your answer :)

Ah yes I measured with the 2 UJ's attached. Taking off 1 UJ to just leave 1 on the shaft (the unremovable one being the only one remaining), gives ;-

Rear :- 110.2mm compressed

118.1mm extended

Front :- 51.04mm compressed

58.8mm extended

Looks like I have Hilux RA1028 shafts. Cool. Just what I wanted actually. Very odd since they were advertised on the auction as being off a Bruiser / Mountaineer.

Unless someone with a Hilux can tell me what the length of their prop. shafts is? Pretty please? LOL.

Many Thanks Kev, it's appreciated.

Cheers,

Alistair G.
