mymonsterbeetleisbroken 16 Posted November 10, 2007 Got my midnight pumpkin free off a mate, must have been about 7 years ago now. The only bits left from the original now is the main body shell, chassis tub, gearbox case and a wheel... lol!
igbandy 34 Posted November 10, 2007 I too got some boxes of bits from a model shop that was closing, it was part of a computer shop and I was friendly with the owners and their Son. In those boxes was a built Ta01 Michelin Pilot Escort Cosworth with radio gear and hardly run, there was also a more or less complete FF01 Ford Mondeo (just needed a few chassis bits). A Hummer box full of Hummer body and chassis sprues but absolutly no transmission. And a bunch of Hopup`s and spare parts. I built the FF01, still got it only used it once, it needs rebuilding. The Mondeo shell is uncut and unpainted, I ran it with the Escort shell (could it be classed as Group N ). Ever since seeing the model of the Hummer I had wanted one (its an off road thing). And a few years ago, I was perrusing a Tamiya dogalogue and noticed how similiar the Escort and Hummer Chassis`s where, then I realised that they where the same Transmission. So the Escort was pulled apart and my Hummer was built. I still have all the bits n pieces for the Escort, and if I fall on a cheap Ta01, it will get rebuilt. dazaa 0 Posted November 11, 2007 Hello, are you a burglar by trade? That said I did find 50 in on my drive a couple of weeks ago Hi no mate i am not a burgular, i would say that i am just very lucky but most of the rc related stuff was given to me by my cousins (apart from the schumacher that was a rubbish tip find) in bits so i had to spend abit doing them up but it was worth it, if i find anymore stuff i will update this post. dazaa
HunterZero 76 Posted November 11, 2007 I was given a Hornet, with radio gear. This was before the re-issue, so was really nice at the time. The chassis was a bit of a wreck, and the radio gear was a bit beat up, but it came with a brand new never painted body shell, and a good condition Kyosho LeMans 480s motor. Restored it, it's sitting on my shelf. - James
