How are the Mardave V12RS cars. I like the looks of them but i was wondering about a few things.

The front wheels dont seem to have any kind of bushing, is there any conversion kit for this?

About wheels, are there different types of wheels, and how often do you have to replace the fronts if they dont have bushings.

Also how far would the wheel base have to stretched to fit standard 210mm M-chassis bodies?

Thanks for the help.

You could probably fit mini wheels to the front with the 1150 bearings (will try later and photo for you.) but there isnt a specific hopup for that, the kit is aimed at budget racers.

There are a few different styles of wheels mostly pretty basic the best looking are the minilights in my opinion. The fronts last a fairly long time, i often change the foam tyres on the same rims and dont notice any huge amount of slop (no more than usual) as long as you keep regular maintenance they are fine i.e clean and polish axle (I use brasso) add a drop of bushing oil and they are fine

THe wheelbase of my Worlds chassis' Mardave is about 203mm although some chassis are different (the worlds chassis is slightly longer but not much)

For the price they are great value, make a fun racer but outside not great unless on very smooth tarmac, rideheight of a standard mardave is a little over 6mm (more if you countersink the chassis). Cheap parts etc, if you do buy one buy the ballraces for rear axle.

Thanks for the info. And thanks again for the e-mail from before about getting one of these. Here in Japan the direct drive M chassis cars are taking off a little bit. But all of the chassis`s are really expensive. Almost 30 pounds more and you have to buy a lot of other stuff just to get a roller I am thinking its time to try one of the Mardaves and see how i can do Vs the high dollar cars.

What do you think i should buy for spares if i import one of these. I was guessing A-arms, Wheels, and bodies. The car being simple looks to keep the spares down.

About the rear axle, are the bearings anything special? i as we have alot of different size bearings here at the shop so that wouldnt be anything to worry about as long as they are not something crazy.

Im going to check my e-mial to find the shop the you recommended and see if they can give me a shipping cost.

Thanks again

A arms will break if given a good hit (good idea to buy a front bumper saves the hassle), fornt kingpins can bend as can front axles, rear pod bases occasionally break in crashes. BUT all these parts are so cheap a pair of front A arms is about 1.75 as are a pair of kingpins with steering knuckles. Wheels last ages but would recommend plenty of tyres (lots of compounds available depends on surface you run) and bodies not so bad. Damage all depends on what you hit, like any other car.

Bearings look to be 13mm outer and 6mm inner diameter and 5mm width (1360's?)

Bearings in the Mardaves are good old imperial sizes, 1/4 inch internal, 1/2 inch external diameter.
