Evening!

I have a problem thats driving me crazy! one of my RC cars (nitro inferno) is having problems with the servos

i.e the constantly make a noise and twitch quite abit. but the biggest problem is that when i blip the throttle the servo sticks before it returns to neutral. and it flicks past neutral sometime too before it settles.

any ideas? I have tried a different receiver but its still the same. Do you think the servos need replacing?

Thanks

Ben

REPLACE IT!

With all things like that- Especially in a nitro car, for the sake of 15 for a new servo, just buy another. Can you imagine if it sticks open on full throttle?!

Replace, replace, replace.

Change it.

Get a new one.

Think i got my point across.... :)

Before you waste 15 on an unnecessary servo, have you tried the steering servo in the place of the throttle one?

It could just as easily be the transmitter.

With most of these issues, you'll need to do some eliminating, so do the free stuff first.

For ease, just swap the servo plugs over in their respective receiver sockets and see what happens.

Also, make sure the aerial wire from the reciever isn't touching any metal on the way to the aerial tube.

If it is, try running it thru some fuel tube to insulate it a bit

no i havnt yet. its at work and all my other cars are at home.

could it be that the servos are not the same make as the receiver?

***please don't post live links unless they are your items for sale***

the servos on the buggy arnt the originals. it couldnt be that the servos were on a 40mhz receiver and i have taken that out and put a 27mhz one in?

Any servo will work on any frequency band.

It sounds more like your receiver is picking up interference from somewhere. Get the antenna as far away from anything metal on the chassis as possible.

Is it worse when the engine is running? If so, you might have a loose screw on the car somewhere, and the vibration is causing interference. Check all the screws, and threadlock anything that's a metal-to-metal connection.
