Is that one of those Tamiya Toyota 4X4 pickup trucks, from eons ago,you sure lucked out with that buy,did you have to take out a second mortgage to buy it,some of the prices people want for socalled vintage stuff is insane.

Goot luck with your project.

The body has no camper, which makes it a Mountaineer. It's approximately 15 years old, and is very rare to see an unpainted, unuseed shell and chassis together in such a condition.

Technically not today's, but Wednesday's and today's haul as I finally got the time to take pictures. The Clod' is indeed a 'bowtie' and the light sets are for my matching Juggernaut and High Lift kits. In front of the TLT-1 is a Rooster for the TXT and to its right is the rear steering servo and y-harness. Now the big question is do I save the Clod shell and mangle the axles for a crawler project or do I keep it 'as-is' and shelf it and instead get Super Clod to base a crawler on?

These came from Uranus

They are TLT servo / toplink mounts, made by Twinset and bolt directly onto the axle tops, allowing axle-mounted steering and proper 4-linking.

Wikkid. Will probably do some more work on the clod-bod scaler tonight :(

as long as its legal frequency you can use what you want! my 2 futaba's are 40mhz - i believe its 27 and 40mhz for land and 35 and 75mhz for air, but i might be wrong on this!

I finally got my TT-01 Aluminum Steering Link (53864), it was on backorder far too long. The only reason I left it on backorder was becuase of the discount, ended up only paying $6.99 for it :)

Tomorrow I will finish my TT-01 and then put the rotor blades on my AXE CP-L

These arrived from Tower Hobbies today for another "top secret" project

HPI_Bits.jpg

HPI Super Star 2.2 rims (possibly to be narrowed and front-mounted on 2wd hubs)

Duratrax Street Trac 2.2 tyres for rear wheels that are yet to arrive ( )

2 sets of HPI wheel adaptors - well, you never know when you might need a set! Hopefully for use on another top secret project, if all goes to plan...

Also a set of bearings arrived for my new Grasshopper, but I forgot to photograph them :)
