Another parcel arrived this week - my second Tamiya ;)

4s1t91.jpg

Well pleased with it. It's almost in mint condition except for a strangely painted colour scheme by the original owner:o

Luckily the original decor set had not been used therefore I can reinstate the shell as per box art.

There is a price list (Beatties Super Deals) showing:

Cheapest model : Grasshopper II at £52.99

Most expensive model : Clodbuster at £177.50

:) I paid a guy ZAR280 about 4 months ago for a King Blackfoot that he wanted to give away to who ever bought his Cen 7.7 and some other nitro truck from him. I mailed him and said I'd pay for it and that is where the 280 comes from. Then all went quiet and I didn't get replies to my emails or calls and so I accepted the fact that I lost the money and will never see the truck. Much to my surprise I received a Richeleu brandy box in the post yesterday and yes, IT CONTAINED THE BLACKFOOT!!!!!!! Body has some scratches, needs dogbones and a clean up but the rest is all there right down to a Acoms reciever and MSC. I am really stoked as now I have 2 so my son Neo and I can both run the trucks together now.

Will post some pics in my showroom sometime during the week.

Henk ;)

the postman was a bit late today but he brought me this:

dope%20jrx2.jpg

i'm so excited. i have been looking for a nice example of a 5 link jrx2 for a while. all of them are always rusty of beat beyond repair.

this one is so nice, just a few scratches on the graphite, which is fine because this is going to be a vintage racer.

i spent the money i was saving for a goldpan rc10 on it, but i think it was money well spent.

the jrx2 is my favorite vintage racer by far, i wish i never sold my original.
