A half decent soldering station. Hopefully goodbye to rubbish solder joints.

I guess I ordered mine over two weeks ago, they seem to be restocking fairly quick at banzai now days.

Ordered a set last night for my db01 lol. Just priced their df03 aluminium dampers £25 delivered via SAL. Unbelievable.

Canada Post tells me my latest package is on a delivery truck. I had to leave one hour after the mail was supposed to arrive, meaning I will no doubt get a slip once I return!

The ONE day Canada Post is late...

Something for a rainy day :)

OK so it's not vintage, (2003) but it is boxed part built and completely unused, plus I don't actually have a TT01 :)

Got some GPM CVDs through for my DF-02 today since I lost the dog bones in the park the other week.

Can someone please tell me where the washers go though and why?

My TB02 Porker arrived from T.C member Sandster.

All good, hopefully this will see some track time at Snetterton in the next couple of months.

This week's haul, arrived yesterday and today.

Proline F250 and Twin Detonator bodies:

Two perfect condition Jugg suspension arms sets courtesy of Tamiyabigstuff and a slightly bashed up but still new set from the US.

More Jugg parts, see my project thread if you wonder why I'm buying TLT and Egress parts!

Couple of TBLE-02s, wheels, smoke parts and replacement wing for my DF-03MS. Parts to build TRF501x dampers for my Durga:

Bits for a couple of new projects:

Bargain £90 XV-01 kit from Tamico:

But who wants a Subaru XV? Not me!

Works out cheaper than buying the XV-01 Delta kit, which is nice.

My guess is that they are like the GPM CC-01 CVDs, where the washers go on the axles before you put them through the bearings, to reduce side-to-side play.

Finally, a photo of the ball bearings:

2qvs64l.jpg

Turns out the mailman did not deliver it yesterday, but chose to deliver it today. Somebody was home, but then the mailman asked for import charges! It is now being held in some random post office not that far from here, but definitely further than I expected, and without a 1:1 car it is not as simple. On top of that, it is only being made available on the day I leave the city!

I know Canada Post may not be entirely responsible, but they get my animosity for now... Exactly why they delayed a day is beyond me, and as a student I have little time or patience for customs. It sounds strange when I had enough money to purchase an entire kit, but seriously, it does feel a little like adding insult to (pocketbook) injury.

That is just the way it goes, though, and complaining about it too much will do nothing. So, we wait until Monday if not later... But at least I got a cockpit:

Yes, this will do quite well...

Do it! The XV-01 chassis is miles better than the DF03ra chassis. You won't regret it.
