max69vk 708 Posted January 19, 2018 Had these Countach wheels & tyres turn up this morning which I'm hoping to use on a VW Type 2 custom chassis build, they are the nearest thing I could find to the Porsche 'Teledial' style wheels so they will do the job nicely!

I'd love a set of TS chassis as shelfers but it's been hard making a vintage TD shelf queen. Have you got a Dash 1 body (same chassis as Thundershot)? If not the same seller has these as well usually. If you do a search on eBay for TBG Thunder Dragon you should find an aftermarket TD body.
nowinaminute 2815 Posted January 19, 2018 I was very fortunate to sell more unwanted crap on ebay recently so yet again I've had disposable RC income! I ended up bidding on a pair of WR-02 Tractors, a Farm King and a Tumbling Bull. The shells need work but they were mechanically sound (one of them is actually completely new and unbuilt still) and came with all the electronics and 2x flysky controllers, Turnigy 6000mah batteries, charger and a few other things plus it came delivered in a massive one of those "really useful boxes" that must have cost 20 quid alone. I ended up winning it for £115. Seemed like a good deal to me. Plenty to work on and enjoy for the money. I might use one chassis for both the tractor shells and the other one I might get another pair of small wheels and get a VW camper body or Jimny or something. A friend in Singapore was also kind enough to send me a body shell for a Nikko "Nutty Hawk" I've always wanted one of these because I really like the cockpit and driver figure. I already have a couple of vehicles on the same chassis (basically a bulked up Nikko Dictator twin motor 4x4) so I can just swap it out as and when I please. It will look great on my twin brushless one down the beach! Not my photo but it's the same as this:

They will be shelf runners, not looking for pristine, compared to my original Thundershot they will look like new pins. The Firedragon came up ok with a baby wipe and a model knife to remove all the lifting edges on the decals. Dash 1, no its not on my to do list. With 5 runners in the family, one each as well as the TS range and my old Pumpkin and Boomerang I think thats not a bad start from 3 months ago when it was not in my head at all. The chassis its on-another Ebay find. It needs a Chassis as its got more holes than I do..(got it) a Prop shaft (on order) and a front bumper, **** as I missed it needed one. Not sure if it started as a Fire Dragon and had the upper suspension arms up-rated ( there is another mangled front gearbox with them on) to adjustable as the other Terra Scorcher parts (front UJ and rear body mount) are not there. At least it been ballraced. That will give me three of the four to add to my Thundershot - due for a total rebuild and clean and a chassis replacement and a Gumtree find of a Terra Scorcher in really decent running condition, just needs a Chassis and A5 Ta for link. OUCH on price esp as its no decals.

Other than that a used shell is going to be your best bet to keep costs down but they don't come up very often

OOZZEE 104 Posted January 22, 2018 have been looking for 1 of these for years with no luck and all of a sudden one pops up 10K down the road from me, stoked to finally get this after all these years, the problem now is that I don't know if I want to build it, may need to look for a runner now.
max69vk 708 Posted January 22, 2018 Another day another delivery! First off an original Blackfoot F150 complete with the front grill, tailgate & XLT Ranger clear glass front screen! It also came with a load of chassis parts & a few bits for the Monster Beetle including an original driver, possibly my best bargain find ever at £20! this was swiftly followed up by the mandatory 'basket case' buy, a WW2 body that looks like a lump of Emental with the amount of holes it has in it! The idea was to cut this up for parts on another WW2 project (without the guilt of destroying a new shell), considering what a bodge this is the OO has used the worlds strongest glue so l'll have to dremel out the inner front wings, tailgate, & front grill! Don't know about your stockists, but here in the USA, I found that Jet brand DESOLVIT is a very good, but pricy glue killer. It is engineered for CA type glue, but could work on some of that stuff in there. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, I use their graffiti remover product for paint stripping but didn't realise they did a glue remover too 😊
Crash Cramer 617 Posted January 22, 2018 Sorry, added a letter or two, THIS is what product I was talking about since I don't know of them making a graffiti remover available to me in the USA, hope this clears things up. http://www.jetglues.com/images/products/de-solv.shtml
