The "Postman Brought Me" Thread

Recommended Posts

Bought this for fun and because it was dirt cheap. I was surprised that oil-shocks, ball-bearings, tire-foam and a TEU-104BK were included.

How cheap?

Interested, my DT02 is so much fun i think I should add another. The DF02 meanwhile isn't getting used at all...

Received my MST drift wheels and tyres today.

No idea if I bought the right tyres or not as the MST website isn't particularly informative.  When in doubt, go with medium I figured.  I'll be adding them to my TT02R build thread once I get them mounted.

After a couple of misfires with cheap flexy ebay drill bits, i finally put 2 and 2 together and ordered 3.1mm and 5.1mm bits from our CNC machine tool supplier Cutwell tools. The bits are beautiful and savage and actually not very expensive. All my 3D printed parts are getting nice accurate 3.1mm bores later today!

Some combos need those fat yellow o-rings to keep them mounted. I can't remember which needs what but yeah, one extra complication with MST... could be for the narrow tyres.

The wheels have a thin foam inner so the tyres don't click into place like I've seen other drift wheels do.  MST say to glue the wheels to the tyres for these ones, so I'll see how that goes later on this week.  Got them mounted tonight just to see how they look.

Now waiting on my Fusion Hobbies order that I ordered last week 🙄 so that the Laguna shell can progress more.

Took advantage of the latest Ebay 20% discount offer and snagged myself another TT01.

Also finally found a brand new Mondeo shell!!! I can't tell you how long I've been searching for a new one so when this one came up I paid a stupid amount of money for it but I'm sooooooo happy to have it at last!!!

My agrios came today with a tactic high torque metal gear servo. Disappointed that it didnt come with an entire set of ball bearings as stated

Yes they do, very cheap as well if you go for the csc material.
