Tamiya RC cars always used to live in a Beaties hold-all when I was a kid. Carrying on with tradition I got a hold-all to go with the TX bag I had already.

Bags

Geeking out! 🤓

yes i have i tend to use these and another company that uses house of colour paint

i have used these for my merc truck and the pontiac shell. the colour on the truck shell is the same as the 2 cans i had this week the sparkle pearl purple.

and tbh for a tenna plus vat you cant go wrong for the size of can you get (400ml) the spray nozzals are great also

no its automotive paint jason i have used both the same type of paint on the poly shell and the hard shell with no probs what so ever the truck it clear coated with 2k clear witch aint cheap for a can but the results are well worth the cost the truck shell has the 2 k clear on it and that is how it came from the can with no orange peel and i have not need to flat it or even polish it also they do deliver via dhl at around £8 and they package very well.

Also following @Juls1 amazing buggy damper thread I caved and bought the lowest price df03 damper set from Japan. About 10 days on those. These are destined for either the TRF201 or the Thunder Dragon. Currently thry are sharing a set of cvas and aerations.

Plus some suspension balls to replace worn ones on the TRF.

Some interesting stuff - Japanese mag with some reference pics of the Taisan 911 and Tom's Supra, Calsonic Primera wheels, show special chrome plated BMW M3 and Alfa 155 wheels (which I'd never seen before), another pair of the Skyline Mesh wheels (to complete my set of four), bearings and black knuckles for another TA-02SW build.

It actually arrived on Wednesday (after being posted in Belgium on Sunday - pretty good I reckon), but it was delivered to my parents so I didn't get hold of it until today...

CAm6C8ZML_8Z7YElF81Pe7LWV7vbtaWSaXo5KdlXiDO7CHPz1-E3wa8uLstGzABWSnJW23hY5OaK-RDH

Photos are a bit poor (bad lighting, phone camera and my mad photography skills) but that's a really nice condition Kyosho Lazer ZX.

The only Kyosho that's ever held any interest for me and another ticked off of the "iconic to me" list.

I need a couple of bits and pieces, so if anybody has any servo saver/linkage parts please drop me a message.

Does anybody know if a gear cover for an Optimal will fit? I can find repro Optima covers locally but no Lazer ones.

*sigh...*

I got M05...

I swear, I didn't mean to buy it.  But honestly, $85 was just too "reasonable."  The seller didn't like the wrinkled sticker. But for this price, I didn't mind.  I hope a stack of books over it for several weeks can straighten it.

This proves two things: 1) I cannot quit Tamiya whenever I like.  2) My manly resolve is really pathetic...

Can see a set of these landing on the door mat at some point in the future. Just built the alloy hop up GF01 shocks and they are lovely and appear to just be small versions of the df03’s. I was very impressed.

This arrived yesterday along with some swing shafts for something I’m toying with but has gone on the back burner.

Anyway. A chance/well timed comment to Tony of TTP fame and money exchanged hands!

33628251348_a7a6512edd_z.jpg

My youngest can now have a ‘girl’ driver in her GF01 when it’s finished which she is very happy about.

Initial impressions are the head/helmet is much better than the Wild Willy version but for me I prefer Willy’s torso with the belts/buckles etc. so will probably end up a mashup of both.

Best buy some paint now and see how rusty I am at painting models.

CC01 Unimog 406 arrived today.  Just need a servo and I can get started.  Almost bought an Alfa Giulia M06 last night too but talked myself out of it (and now I need to do the same with a TL01 Toms Supra and M02 Fiat Abarth).

A pack of these, which I'd not seen before, I think they're new? Will come in handy next time I do an expensive vintage body.
